PARIS (AP) - French 大統領 Emmanuel Macron's former 安全 補佐官, at the heart of a 損失ing political スキャンダル, told a 上院 (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限 Monday that he turned in his two 外交の パスポートs after 存在 解雇する/砲火/射撃d last summer but they were returned to him two months later.

Alexandre Benalla said the パスポートs were returned to him in October "by a 給料を受けている person at the Elysee."

He didn't 指名する the person, 説 only that the still-active パスポートs were 手渡すd to him in a street, and he used them 23 times - 含むing on a December trip to Chad いっそう少なく than two weeks before Macron visited the west African country to visit French 軍隊/機動隊s.

Benalla said he was on a visit with a 私的な company as he tries to find new work after 存在 正式に 解雇する/砲火/射撃d in August as a 安全 補佐官 at the French 大統領の palace for 申し立てられた/疑わしい 暴力/激しさ against 抗議する人s at a May Day 抗議する. He was …を伴ってing police as an 観察者/傍聴者.

It was the second time Benalla appeared before the (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限, which is 調査(する)ing what 当局 have 述べるd as 明言する/公表する "disfunction," surrounding the mysterious 役割 of the one-time 補佐官.

Benalla was 手渡すd 予選 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s Friday for abusive use of the 外交の 文書s. He was 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d earlier on several counts linked to his 暴力/激しさ - 逮捕(する)d on ビデオ - at the May 抗議する.

As 報告(する)/憶測s 現れるd about his use of 外交の パスポートs after 存在 解雇する/砲火/射撃d, the 上院 (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限 decided to call him 支援する for その上の 証言. He had told the (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限 in September that his two 外交の パスポートs were still in his office at the Elysee.

Why the パスポートs were returned to Benalla is but one of an array of questions surrounding the former 補佐官, who was often seen at Macron's 味方する on 遠出s, as 候補者 then as 大統領,/社長 - though he has 否定するd he was a 護衛.

His 明らかに 特権d position within the inner circle at the 大統領の palace remains 不明瞭な. After the (映画の)フィート数 of 暴力/激しさ 現れるd, Benalla was given a demotion but not 解雇する/砲火/射撃d.

Asked about マスコミ repor ts 主張するing he 交流d text messages with Macron until 権利 before Christmas, Benalla said only that he has had no 接触する with anyone at the 大統領/総裁などの地位 or Macron's party since Dec. 24.
