Mississippi considers abortion 禁止(する) after fetal heartbeat

JACKSON, 行方不明になる. (AP) - Mississippi 国会議員s are considering what could become one of the strictest abortion 法律s in the country. 法案s that passed 法律を制定する 委員会s Tuesday would 禁止(する) abortion once a fetal heartbeat is (悪事,秘密などを)発見するd, as 早期に as six weeks into a pregnancy.

共和国の/共和党の Gov. Phil Bryant has said he will 調印する either House 法案 732 or 上院 法案 2116 , which are moving to the 十分な House and 上院 for more work. 支持者s and 対抗者s 心配する a 法廷,裁判所 fight.

Mississippi has some of the tightest abortion 法律s in the U.S., with a 24-hour waiting period and parental 同意 for minors 要求するd, with some exceptions. The 明言する/公表する last year 制定するd a 法律 banning abortion after 15 weeks, and a 連邦の 裁判官 宣言するd it 憲法違反の.

During a 上院 Public Health 委員会 会合 Tuesday, Democratic Sen. John Horhn of Jackson 反対するd to the heartbeat 法案 and took 公式文書,認める of Reeves' 判決,裁定 about the 15-week 禁止(する). The 委員会 chairman, 共和国の/共和党の Sen. Fillingane, who is white, also told Horhn, who is 黒人/ボイコット, that more than 80 パーセント of the abortions done in Mississippi are for African-American women. He also 引用するd a hymn.

"I believe, 'Red, yellow, 黒人/ボイコット and white, they're all precious in his sight,'" Fillingane said. "And so that's why we're bringing this 法案 to the 床に打ち倒す."

Horhn 答える/応じるd: "If they're all precious in his sight, why are you bringing up that demographic statistic?"

Fillingane said he brought it up so 委員会 members would be aware of what they were 投票(する)ing on. The 法案 would still 許す abortions if a pregnancy 危うくするs a woman's life or one of her major bodily 機能(する)/行事s.

Democratic Sen. David Blount of Jackson said he has 投票(する)d for some abortion 制限s in the past but …に反対するd the 15-week 禁止(する) last year because he believed it to be 憲法違反の and will …に反対する the fetal heartbeat 法案 for the same 推論する/理由.

"Again and again we've been told that we should pass 法律制定, and again and again it's 設立する to be 憲法違反の," Blount said.

This is 選挙 year in Mississippi. Although Bryant cannot 捜し出す a third 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 as 知事, most 国会議員s are 捜し出すing another four years in office.
