Sato over 220 mph to get IndyCar Series 政治家 at Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Takuma Sato went over 220 mph in qualifying Friday to earn the 政治家 for the IndyCar Series race at Texas.
Sato got his ninth career 政治家 with a two-（競技場の）トラック一周 qualifying 普通の／平均（する） of 220.250 mph on the high-速度(を上げる） 1?-mile oval. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver, who is fifth in season points, won from the 政治家 at Barber Motorsports Park two months ago.
The only other Texas qualifier over 220 mph was defending race 支持する／優勝者 Scott Dixon at 220.162 mph. Dixon is coming off a 勝利，勝つ in the second Detroit race last 週末.
Sebastien Bourdais, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Indianapolis 500 支持する／優勝者 Simon Pagenaud and Spencer Pigot filled out the first three 列／漕ぐ／騒動s for Saturday night's race. IndyCar Series points leader Josef Newgarden qualified seventh.
The last driver to 勝利，勝つ from the 政治家 at Texas was Ryan Briscoe in 2010.

Will 力／強力にする qualified 15th, which will be his lowest starting position in a race since Long Beach 早期に in the 2015 season.

Even before the qualifying miscue, Foyt said during the NBCSN broadcast that he can't 許容する how the team is running and 示すd some changes could be made.
