Josef Newgarden's 1st Texas IndyCar 勝利，勝つ is series-best 3rd
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Josef Newgarden 人物／姿／数字d if his team could get him out 前線, his first IndyCar victory in Texas would follow.
The first three-time 勝利者 in the series this year was 権利, にもかかわらず Alexander Rossi trying really hard to 証明する him wrong.
Newgarden held off several late challenges from Rossi, 結局 getting some 分離 over the final few （競技場の）トラック一周s to give Team Penske its 14th victory in the past 19 Texas races on Saturday night.

"I'm telling you, if you look at those five or so （競技場の）トラック一周s I pumped out," said Newgarden, who won the season opener at St. Petersburg and again last 週末 in the first of two in Detroit.

"I knew it. I was like, 'Man, we're going to have a good 始める，決める of （競技場の）トラック一周s here to pump out and just jump everybody.' That's what we did. It was really 井戸／弁護士席-遂行する／発効させるd. It was really 井戸／弁護士席-planned."
Newgarden, whose previous best finish in seven Texas starts was eighth, also got his first 勝利，勝つ on a high-速度(を上げる） oval.

Graham Rahal had a season-best finish of third, and Santino Ferrucci was fourth. Ryan Hunter-Reay, who led the most （競技場の）トラック一周s with 90, was fifth. Indianapolis 500 勝利者 Simon Pagenaud took sixth.
Pagenaud, Newgarden's fellow Penske driver and the other multi-race 勝利者 this season with two victories, was the 走者-up to Dixon in Texas last June.

Newgarden, who now has a 25-point lead over Rossi in the series standings, is up to seven 最高の，を越す-10 finishes this season with one of his better 跡をつけるs coming up at Road America 近づく Milwaukee. He's looking for his second series 肩書を与える.
