Second Turkish ship begins gas 演習ing off Cyprus
ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Turkey's 明言する／公表する-run news 機関 says a second Turkish ship has started 演習ing for gas off ethnically divided Cyprus, in an area where the Cypriot 政府 says it has 排除的 経済的な 権利s.
Anadolu 機関 引用するd Turkey's Energy 大臣 Fatih Donmez as 説 Wednesday that the ship, Yavuz, had begun 操作／手術s in an area off the Karpas 半島 on Cyprus' east coast, reaching a depth of 1,710 メーターs (5,610 feet). 操作／手術s would last up to three months, he said.
Another Turkish ship, Fatih, started 演習ing in June 67 キロメーターs (42 miles) off Cyprus' west coast.
Cyprus says Turkey's 演習ing activities are unlawful and the European Union has 発表するd 許可／制裁s against Turkey. Ankara 主張するs it is 保護するing its 権利s and those of Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus' 脱退／分離 north to the area's 炭化水素 deposits.
