Gunmen attack 計画（する） in Indonesia's Papua; no 死傷者s
JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - Gunmen opened 解雇する／砲火／射撃 on a small 商業の 計画（する） as it landed in Indonesia's restive 州 of Papua carrying nine 乗客s, one of the 計画（する）'s 操縦するs said Saturday. No 死傷者s were 報告（する）／憶測d.
The attack occurred Friday in the hilly 地区 of Puncak, a 要塞／本拠地 of 分離主義者s who have 戦う／戦いd Indonesian 支配する in the mineral-rich but 貧窮化した 地域 since the 早期に 1960s, said the Indonesian co-操縦する, Purwanto Condro Usodo.
Usodo said that he and the Australian 操縦する, Michael Cumming, were 最初 unaware of the 狙撃 and managed to land the 航空機 安全に at Beoga airport from the 採掘 town of Timika until 乗客s told them that they saw gunmen spray the 計画（する） with 弾丸s while 上陸.
Usodo said in a ビデオ 得るd by The Associated 圧力（をかける） on Saturday from a source in the Indonesian army that about 30 minutes later, the gunmen tried to shoot people who were 荷を降ろすing 供給（する）s and luggage from the 計画（する）. But the gunmen fled into the ジャングル after 兵士s on the ground returned 解雇する／砲火／射撃, while the 操縦するs and 乗客s were 避難させるd to a 安全 地位，任命する 近づく the airport.
It was 不明瞭な whether any of the gunmen were killed in the shootout, which lasted over three hours, Usodo said.
軍の spokesmen did not answer calls 捜し出すing comment on the 狙撃, which happened まっただ中に an 明らかな escalation of attacks since Dec. 1 by the West Papua 国家の 解放 Army, or TPNPB, the 軍の wing of the 解放する／自由な Papua Movement. A 宣言 of independence from Dutch 支配する on Dec. 1, 1961, was 拒絶するd by the Dutch and later by Indonesia.
A low-level 暴動 for independence has simmered in Papua since it was transferred from Dutch to Indonesian 支配する in 1963. The 地域, which makes up the western half of the island of New Guinea, was 会社にする／組み込むd into Indonesia in 1969 に引き続いて a U.N.-sponsored 投票（する） that has since been 解任するd as a sham.
