NEW YORK (AP) - By her own admission, Elle Purrier had not spent much time running the mile. You wouldn't have known it by her 業績／成果 Saturday at the Millrose Games in New York.

And it was the second-fastest indoor mile ever, behind Ethiopia´s Genzebe Dibaba world 記録，記録的な／記録する of 4:13:31, 始める，決める in 2016.
"I'm just so surprised," said Purrier, who finished ahead of the 2019 勝利者, Konstanze Klosterhalfen, who 始める，決める a German 記録，記録的な／記録する of 4:17:26. Jemma Reekie （機の）カム in third with a time of 4:17:88, a British 記録，記録的な／記録する.
"I'm really happy and really excited," Purrier said.
