Fit for a swing: 会合，会う the new DHs of the 国家の League
The minute word 漏れるd that the 指定するd hitter was coming to the 国家の League this season, fans and 前線 offices alike began pinpointing the perfect 候補者s.
Kyle Schwarber ... Ryan Braun ... Jay Bruce.
And several others.
Whether it be an 高齢化 強打者 returning from 傷害 or a younger hitter who´s not so good with the glove, nearly every NL team has a player who fits the profile: dangerous stick, 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う 弁護. A natural choice to bat for the 投手 and not play the field.
Suddenly there´s an ideal 位置／汚点／見つけ出す in the starting 顔触れ 利用できる to those guys, now that the DH has spread beyond the American League under new 支配するs 可決する・採択するd for a 延期するd season 縮めるd to 60 games because of the coronavirus.
It all starts without fans on 手渡す Thursday night in Washington, where the World Series 支持する／優勝者 国家のs host the New York Yankees. Probably with Eric Thames or Howie Kendrick becoming the first 指定するd hitter for an NL squad playing a 正規の／正選手-season game in its home ballpark.

"I think the biggest thing for a DH is to be able to stay locked into the game as much as possible," said Schwarber, a 変えるd catcher with 制限s in left field who had 38 ホームランs, 92 打点s and an .871 OPS for the Chicago Cubs last year.
"Know what´s going on, see what´s going on. Keep your mind into it."
But while Schwarber 人物／姿／数字s to get the 本体，大部分／ばら積みの of DH 義務 in Chicago, other clubs like Milwaukee and Miami 計画（する） to fill the 役割 with a variety of hitters. That way, it helps everyone stay fresh -- 特に the big boppers.
The 深い Los Angeles ペテン師 get an 付加 slot to plug in good players such as Joc Pederson, Chris Taylor, A.J. Pollock, Matt Beaty and Kik? Hern?ndez who might さもなければ be on the （法廷の）裁判.

"It enables us to put more of our better players in," マカジキs 経営者／支配人 Don Mattingly said. "It will enable us to mix and match a little more with our 顔触れ. We don´t have Big Papi sitting there. I do look at that as using a rotation. For us, it makes it easier to make a 顔触れ out. You feel like you´re getting all your guys in there."
Thou gh the American League has been 雇うing the 指定するd hitter since 1973, it remains to be 決定するd if the NL will 会社にする／組み込む it again after this unusual season.

NEW YORK METS
Yoenis C?spedes is 支援する after 行方不明の last season and most of 2018 with 脚 and foot 傷害s. He had 外科 on both heels and then for a broken ankle, so it´s uncertain how 井戸／弁護士席 he could 停止する in left field. But the 34-year-old 強打者 looks strong enough to 提起する／ポーズをとる a 脅し at the plate in a dangerous 顔触れ.
"The way that my 団体／死体 is feeling 権利 now, the way that I´ve been able to run, I feel so much better," C?spedes said this month.
If he´s healthy enough to play the 外野 on occasion -- or unable to even DH -- the Mets have several other suitable 可能性s in Dominic Smith, J.D. Davis and Robinson Can?.
"We feel like our 顔触れ can be as 深い as anybody´s in baseball," general 経営者／支配人 Brodie 先頭 Wagenen said. "So we´re looking 今後 to 利用するing the DH 位置／汚点／見つけ出す to both 保護する our guys´ health and to put up some 不快な／攻撃 軍隊."
MILWAUKEE BREWERS
The 36-year-old Braun seemed an obvious 選ぶ, but 経営者／支配人 Craig Counsell said he won´t have a 正規の／正選手 DH and instead planned to 補欠／交替の／交替する players -- 含むing 星／主役にする outfielder Christian Yelich. Braun also was について言及するd, but he sat out the team´s first five intrasquad games in summer （軍の）野営地，陣営, raising questions about his availability.

PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
The 33-year-old Bruce has bounced around since 2016 and probably isn´t an 控訴，上告ing outfielder anymore. But the three-time All-星／主役にする had 26 ホームランs and a .523 slugging 百分率 in 310 at-bats with Seattle and Philadelphia last season.
ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS
Jake Lamb, an All-星／主役にする in 2017, is looking to 回復する from 連続した seas ons derailed by 傷害s. He batted only .193 with six ホームランs and 30 打点s in 78 games last year.
The slot could also make sense for 27-year-old Kevin Cron, who clocked 38 ホームランs in ３倍になる-A last season. At 6-foot-5, 250 続けざまに猛撃するs, he 追加するd six more long balls in the majors over 71 at-bats.
SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
A pair of popular 新規加入s in Hunter Pence and Wilmer Flores 人物／姿／数字 to be in the mix. The 37-year-old Pence, who won two World Series （犯罪の）一味s with the 巨大（な）s from 2012-18, made his fourth All-星／主役にする team last season as a DH for Texas. He batted .297 with 18 ホームランs, 59 打点s and a .910 OPS in just 83 games.
Flores can play all over the 内野 but is better with the bat. He 攻撃する，衝突する .317 with an .848 OPS in 89 games for Arizona last year.
