分析: Behind health, 安定 a 重要な to NFL success

長,指導者s, 49ers, Saints, Ravens. All powerhouses last season. All in excellent position to be so again if the NFL 現実に gets to play during the coronavirus pandemic.

Anyone who believes 連続 isn´t an 必須の part of プロの/賛成の football success will need to re-診察する that philosophy.

As NFL teams finally get together after an offseason of 事実上の, 井戸/弁護士席, everything, the rosters featuring 安定, and coaching staffs remaining 損なわれていない, will 供給する a 抱擁する advantage.

No one is 栄冠を与えるing any of those four teams 最高の Bowl 支持する/優勝者 just yet. But there can be no argument that the 連続 of roster and staff in Kansas City, San Francisco, New Orleans and Baltimore - all 分割 勝利者s with a 連合させるd 記録,記録的な/記録する of 52-12 - gives them a 抱擁する 辛勝する/優位 長,率いるing into the 2020 schedule, whenever it gets rolling.

"We´re definitely ready to 攻撃する,衝突する the ground running," Ravens 防御の 調整者/コーディネーター Don "Wink" Martindale said during the offseason.

"John (Harbaugh) has done a 広大な/多数の/重要な 職業 with the schedule and us doing everything from home, and 会合s 港/避難所´t changed. We were talking the other day as a 防御の staff, and if you just took the transcripts from OTAs last year, and then our Zoom 会合s this year, you couldn´t tell the difference. Because we´ve made Zoom 会合s an event that our guys didn´t want to 行方不明になる them, and they took something away from them."

The main 問題/発行する for so many teams is going to be what has been taken away from them. The 愛国者s minus Tom Brady 最高の,を越すs the 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる), but New England also lost some other 重要な players, 特に on 弁護 (Kyle 先頭 Noy, Jamie Collins) and placekicker Stephen Gostkowski.

Another 退役軍人 quarterback with a long string of starts, Philip Rivers, 出発/死d the Chargers, as did Melvin Gordon, Brandon Mebane, Thomas Davis and Michael Schofield.

Plenty of other teams have had roster 激変s, and those hoping for instant 衝撃 from their 新人 class instead might be re-評価するing how much they want to depend on those kids.

Yes, 最高の,を越す 全体にわたる 草案 選ぶ Joe Burrow will start in Cincinnati, but going to the NFL's worst team with no chance to truly get indoctrinated before the games become real is a 抱擁する disadvantage.

And how much 連続 can the Raiders have as they change home cities, stadium, workout 施設 and, in some ways, lifestyle in the move to Las Vegas?

簡単に put, talent might not be the deciding factor for NFL franchises this season. Health, 自然に, will be the first determinant across the board - and there's never been anything more 予測できない for プロの/賛成の football players than to を取り引きする the coronavirus.

Should a team be fortunate to keep its 重要な performers on the field - 推定する/予想するing everyone to remain healthy probably is wishful thinking along the lines of what the folks in New England were doing before Brady 選ぶd to bolt to Tampa - that still isn't やむを得ず enough if they don't work 井戸/弁護士席 together.

The Browns, Bucs, 枢機けい/主要なs, 法案s and Broncos appear to have 意味ありげに 改善するd their rosters. Yet those important newcomers could need extra long 調整s this season.

Sure, DeAndre Hopkins, かもしれない the best offseason 取得/買収 by any team, worked out with his new quarterback, Arizona's Kyler Murray, this summer.

All 井戸/弁護士席 and good, football-wise. That's nothing like what the perennial All-プロの/賛成の receiver and the 2019 不快な/攻撃 新人 of the Year Murray will 直面する when they open up against Richard Sherman and the 49ers, whose 弁護 meshed on the way to the NFC 肩書を与える last year.

Could D-Hop and Kyler have used a preseason contest or two to work out the kinks? Certainly - in a normal year and 環境. Now, dropping those オープン戦s was an 展示(する) of wise 警告を与える no 事柄 how 破壊的な to 準備 and cohesiveness it is.

Most challenging of all are the places where coaching changes were made. マイク McCarthy is a 最高の Bowl 勝利者, Ron Rivera has been to the big game as a 長,率いる coach. They are two of the 最高の,を越す men at their 職業s in the 2000s.

Yet McCarthy in Dallas and Rivera in Washington, as much of an 昇格 as they might be in usual years, could be navigating some roiling waters trying to get their systems in place.

Even more daunting are what Kevin Stefanski in Cleveland, Matt Rhule in Carolina and Joe 裁判官 with the 巨大(な)s 直面する. 非,不,無 has been a 長,率いる coach in the NFL, and all of them join clubs whose underachievements have been their calling cards rece ntly.

"You used to be able to have 60 days to get the 職業 done, and everybody in our league will probably have more like 30 days, so I´m really 焦点(を合わせる)ing on maximizing the time and the 会合 time and the most important things we need to get done when we get 支援する together," McCarthy said. "Having the unknown out there 原因(となる)s more work on the 準備 味方する."

And a lot いっそう少なく 連続.
