'裁判，公判 of the Chicago 7' takes 最高の，を越す 栄誉（を受ける）s at SAG Awards
The starry cast of Aaron Sorkin´s 1960s courtroom 演劇 "The 裁判，公判 of the Chicago 7" took the 最高の，を越す prize Sunday at a 事実上の 審査する Actors Guild Awards where actors of color, for the first time, swept the individual film awards.
The 27th SAG Awards, 現在のd by the Hollywood actors´ guild SAG-Aftra, were a muted 事件／事情／状勢 - and not just because the red carpet-いっそう少なく 儀式 was condensed to a pre-記録，記録的な／記録するd, Zoom-激しい, one-hour broadcast on TBS and TNT. The perceived 学院 Awards frontrunner - Chlo? Zhao´s "Nomadland" - wasn´t 指名するd for best ensemble, making this year´s 延期するd SAG Awards いっそう少なく of an Oscar preview than it is most years.
Still, the 勝利，勝つ for Netflix's "The 裁判，公判 of the Chicago 7" 示すd the first time a film from any streaming service won the guild´s ensemble award. Written and directed by Sorkin, "The 裁判，公判 of the Chicago 7" had been 始める，決める for theatrical 解放（する） by 最高位の Pictures before the pandemic 攻撃する，衝突する, 主要な to its sale to Netflix. The streamer is still after its first best-picture 勝利，勝つ at the Oscars.
Frank Langella, who plays the 裁判官 who 統括するd over the 1969 起訴 of 行動主義者s 逮捕（する）d during the 1968 Democratic 国家の 条約, drew 平行のs between that 時代´s 不安 and today´s while 受託するing the award on に代わって of the cast.

The SAG Awards are a closely watched Oscar harbinger. Actors （不足などを）補う the largest 支店 of the 学院 of 動議 Pictures Arts and Sciences, and SAG 勝利者s often line up with Oscar ones. Last year, "Parasite" went on to 勝利，勝つ best picture at the 学院 Awards, and all of the individual SAG 勝利者s - Ren?e Zellweger, Brad Pitt, Laura Dern, Joaquin 不死鳥／絶品 - won at the Oscars, too.
Those awards this year went to a group 完全に of actors of color, 潜在的に setting the 行う／開催する／段階 for a 歴史的に diverse 予定する of Oscar 勝利者s: Chadwick Bosem an, best male actor for "Ma Rainey's 黒人／ボイコット 底（に届く）"; Viola Davis, best 女性（の） actor for "Ma Rainey's 黒人／ボイコット 底（に届く）"; Yuh-Jung Youn, best 女性（の） supporting actor for "Minari"; and Daniel Kaluuya, best male supporting actor for "Judas and the 黒人／ボイコット Messiah."
Of those, Davis' 勝利，勝つ was the most surprising in a 部類 that has often belonged to Carey Mulligan ("約束ing Young Woman") or フランs McDormand ("Nomadland"). It's Davis' fifth individual SAG award.
"Thank you, August, for leaving a 遺産／遺物 for actors of color that we can relish the 残り／休憩（する） of our lives," said Davis, referring to 脚本家 August Wilson.
As it has throughout the awards season, best male actor again belonged to Boseman for his final 業績／成果. Boseman, who died last August at age 43, had already 始める，決める a 記録，記録的な／記録する for most SAG film 指名／任命s - four - in a 選び出す／独身 year. He was also posthumously 指名するd for his supporting 役割 in "Da 5 血s" and 株d in the ensemble 指名／任命s for both Spike 物陰／風下´s film and "Ma Rainey´s 黒人／ボイコット 底（に届く）."
It was the SAG Awards where Boseman gave one of his most memorable speeches. At the guild´s 2019 awards, Boseman spoke on に代わって of the "黒人／ボイコット Panther" cast when the film won the 最高の，を越す award. "We all know what it´s like to be told that there is not a place for you to be featured," Boseman said then. "Yet you are young, gifted and 黒人／ボイコット."
The 学院 Awards frontrunner, "Nomadland" 行方不明になるd out on a best-ensemble 指名／任命 かもしれない because its cast is composed of 大部分は 非，不，無-professional actors. The awards are typically the highest profile event for the 審査する Actors Guild, though the union´s faceoff earlier this year with former 大統領 Donald Trump may have drawn more headlines.
