After league 肩書を与える, Simeone hopes to keep Atl?tico growing
MADRID (AP) - Nothing really （機の）カム to Diego Simeone's mind after his Atl?tico Madrid 味方する finally clinched the Spanish league 肩書を与える. So he just started laughing.
"My first reaction was to start laughing," he said. "It （機の）カム out 自然に. I don´t know why, but I laughed, I just laughed."
Atl?tico had just 決起大会／結集させるd to 敗北・負かす Valladolid 2-1 and 勝利，勝つ its first league 肩書を与える in seven years on Saturday. It was the team´s 11th league 肩書を与える, and third since 1996, when Simeone still played for the club.
"It was a happy feeling that （機の）カム from inside," Simeone said. "We were able to do it again."
There was 推論する／理由 for Simeone to be relieved, with the 勝利 coming after a 緊張した final stretch of the season in which the team blew a big lead and 許すd Real Madrid, Barcelona and even Sevilla to get 支援する into the 肩書を与える race.
After the victory on Saturday, there would be no more need for late 復帰s. No more need for 元気づける against 対抗者s. No more need for the "one match at a time" mentality.

But for Simeone it wasn´t about 存在 relieved. It was about the 安心 the 肩書を与える brought of 存在 part of a successful 事業／計画（する） at a club that will keep growing.
"In my loneliness before the match, I was remembering about the time when we were bidding 別れの（言葉，会） to the (Vicente) Calder?n (Stadium in 2017), and people asked me if I was going to continue or not, and I said `yes,´ I said that I was going to stay, because I believed that the club had a 未来. And I wasn´t wrong. The club has a 未来."
Saturday´s league 肩書を与える was the eighth トロフィー that Simeone helped Atl?tico 勝利，勝つ since he arrived in late 2011. He is now the club's most successful coach, より勝るing the seven 肩書を与えるs Luis Aragon?s won with Atl?tico. Simeone´s other 肩書を与えるs with the club 含む two Europa Leagues, two European 最高の Cups, a Spanish 最高の Cup and a Copa del Rey.
"The club is growing, and it can keep growing," the 51-year-old Simeone said. "Hopefully we can help it keep growing."
Simeone´s 契約 ends in 2022 and club 大統領，／社長 Enrique Cerezo made it （疑いを）晴らす on Saturday that the coach will stay for much longer if he wants to.
"I think he has his mind 始める，決める on staying," Cerezo said. "He has been with us for 10 years and we hope that he will stay with us for 10 more years."
For his part, Simeone said there´s no need to think about his 未来 after such a suc cessful season.
"What is important is what the team and the club did this season, and that it´s 絶えず growing," Simeone said.
Barcelona and Real Madrid had won all the league 肩書を与えるs since 2014, but Atl?tico has been 徐々に moving closer to the Spanish powerhouses under Simone.
Simeone and the players were 手渡すd the league トロフィー in an empty Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday. Fans were not 許すd in the stadium because of the coronavirus pandemic, but they filled some of the streets of Madrid as the team paraded across the Spanish 資本／首都.
The Argentine coach was 重要な in helping 改造する the squad after the 出発s of club 退役軍人s such as Diego Godin, Filipe Luis and Antoine Griezmann. He had to 再構築する the team almost from scratch but made it a 競争相手 again in only two seasons with the likes of Luis Su?rez, Jo?o F?lix and Marcos Llorente.
They were の中で the players throwing Simeone up in the 空気／公表する to celebrate at the Jos? Zorrilla Stadium in Valladolid on Saturday.
Simeone said he had help from many people in keeping the players 焦点（を合わせる）d during the final stretch of the long （選挙などの）運動をする. He said that with about five 一連の会議、交渉／完成するs to go he gathered 労働者s at the club and asked them to 迎える／歓迎する the players 異なって every morning.
"I told them that instead of 説 `good morning,´ they had to 迎える／歓迎する the players by 説 `we are going to be 支持する／優勝者s,´" Simeone said. "And that was how the players were 迎える／歓迎するd every day."
"We were lucky," Simeone said, with a smile, "We could reach our goal."
