AP Interview: US 会社／堅いs in Hong Kong 直面する 危険s, says AmCham
HONG KONG (AP) - U.S. 商売／仕事s operating in Hong Kong should 再評価する their 操作／手術s and decide if the 危険s of operating there are 価値（がある） the reward, the 大統領，／社長 of the American 議会 of 商業 in Hong Kong said in an interview Monday with The Associated 圧力（をかける）.
Tara Joseph said companies in Hong Kong are caught in the middle of antagonisms between the U.S. and 中国. Her 発言／述べるs followed an （a）忠告の／（n）警報 問題／発行するd by the U.S. 政府 on Friday 警告 商売／仕事s about 危険s in the former British 植民地.
Relations between the U.S. and 中国 have 悪化するd まっただ中に a 貿易（する） war and 開始するing 緊張s over Chinese moves to 抑制（する） political dissent in Hong Kong. The Biden 行政 特記する／引用するd Hong Kong's 転換ing 合法的な landscape and 強化するing 支配（する）／統制する by the 共産主義者 支配するd 政府 in Beijing as growing 危険s.
"The 商売／仕事 landscape has certainly become more コンビナート／複合体 than it used to be, we´re definitely in a new normal as far as 商売／仕事 goes here," Joseph said.
"What is 関心ing 全体にわたる, not just with this （a）忠告の／（n）警報, would be a constant tit-for-tat between U.S. and 中国 when it comes to Hong Kong . . . (which) in many ways is caught 権利 in the middle," she said.
The U.S. 政府 （a）忠告の／（n）警報 said operating in Hong Kong could lead to reputational and 合法的な 損失 and data privacy 危険s.

Hong Kong 当局 slammed it as "unfounded 恐れる-mongering," 告発する／非難するing the U.S. of hypocrisy and 二塁打 基準s.
Beijing has been walking 支援する freedoms 約束d for 50 years to Hong Kong when Britain 手渡すd the 植民地 over in 1997. Joseph said the Biden 行政's （a）忠告の／（n）警報 might 影響（力） the 視野s of U.S. companies not already operating in Hong Kong. But the city remains an important 中心 for doing 商売／仕事 with 本土／大陸 中国.
Hong Kong has a separate customs 領土 and 表面上は an 独立した・無所属 judicial system, though the 最近の 傾向 to 指定する many 問題／発行するs as 落ちるing under the 国家の 安全 法律 has 専門家s worried that the city's famed "支配する of 法律" is 存在 土台を崩すd.

Joseph said she hoped Hong Kong would manage to 持続する those 全世界の 基準s.
"So anything that takes away from that can make it harder for Hong Kong to 持続する its 役割, but we hope that there will be an 増加するd understanding and a 承認 that it´s a 勝利，勝つ-勝利，勝つ for people to 持続する their 商売／仕事s here and for Hong Kong to 持続する its position as a gateway," she said.
