Hong Kong leader: Groups crossing 'red lines' should 解散する

HONG KONG (AP) - Hong Kong´s leader Carrie Lam said Tuesday organizations that cross "red lines" and 無視(する) 国家の 安全 should 解散する and the 政府 would not hesitate to 削減(する) 関係 with professional groups that turn political.

当局 are 行為/行うing an 現在進行中の 厳重取締 on dissent in the city, 逮捕(する)ing プロの/賛成の-僕主主義 leaders and 行動主義者s as Beijing 捜し出すs to keep Hong Kong in line after months of 集まり anti-政府 抗議するs in 2019.

Lam made her comments after the Civil Human 権利s 前線, known for 組織するing 年次の July 1 抗議するs and a 重要な 組織者 of some of the biggest 抗議するs in 2019, said Sunday it could no longer operate 予定 to the 監禁,拘置 of its leader Figo Chan and a loss of members.

Its 解散 also (機の)カム as Hong Kong police were 報道によれば 調査/捜査するing the group for breaking the 法律, with a police commissioner 説 in an interview with 地元の マスコミ that the group had not 正式に 登録(する)d with the 政府.

Critics of Hong Kong´s 安全 法律制定 say it rolls 支援する freedoms 約束d to Hong Kong for 50 years when it was 手渡すd over by the British to 本土/大陸 中国 in 1997. The 法律制定 criminalizes subversion, 離脱, テロ行為 and foreign collusion, and has been used to 逮捕(する) over 100 プロの/賛成の-僕主主義 人物/姿/数字s since it was 器具/実施するd last June.

"There is no 絶対の freedom of an individual anywhere in the world. You enjoy it in 一致 with the 法律," Lam said at a 正規の/正選手 news 会議/協議会, 追加するing that there were many organizations who do not 受託する that their 行為 and speech are 規制するd by the city´s 国家の 安全 法律 課すd last June.

"In the past we have seen organizations and individuals crossing these red lines. In my opinion, the only choice is at this time is disbandment," she said. "So it´s nothing to do with 演習ing your 権利 or your freedom."

Lam said that even if organizations 解散する of their own volition, it does not absolve them of 犯罪の 義務/負債 if they are 設立する to break the 法律. 法律 施行 機関s will continue to collect 証拠 and 調査/捜査する, and any 違反s of the 法律 will be 起訴するd accordingly, she said.

Professional groups who deviate from their 初めの 目的 and turn 政治家 itical will also be 削減(する) off from the Hong Kong 政府, she said.

The 政府 last month 厳しいd 関係 with the Professional Teachers´ Union, the city´s largest union for educators. The union later 解散するd, 特記する/引用するing a changing political 気候.

Lam 警告するd that the 法律 Society - a professional 協会 for solicitors in Hong Kong - could be next if they "let politics take over their professional 使節団."
