Johnson 同盟(する)s 告発する/非難する MPs 調査/捜査するing him of 行為/行うing a `witch 追跡(する)´

Tory 同盟(する)s of Boris Johnson have (刑事)被告 a 委員会 of MPs 調査/捜査するing whether he misled 議会 of 行為/行うing a “vengeful and vindictive” “witch 追跡(する)”.

Although he is 予定 to leave No 10 in いっそう少なく than a month, the ありふれたs 特権s 委員会 is going ahead with its 調査 into whether the 総理大臣 committed a contempt of 議会 by 誤って導くing MPs with his partygate 否定s.

Culture 長官 Nadine Dorries, one of Mr Johnson’s staunchest 支持者s, on Sunday tweeted: “If this witch 追跡(する) continues, it will be the most egregious 職権乱用 証言,証人/目撃するd in Westminster.

“It will cast serious 疑問 not only on the 評判 of individual MPs sitting on the 委員会, but on the 過程s of 議会 and 僕主主義 itself”.

Lord Goldsmith, who was given a life peerage and a 大臣の 職業 by Mr Johnson in the wake of 投票者s ダンピング him as the MP for Richmond Park in 2019, tweeted: “The Partygate 調査(する) is 明確に rigged.

“It is a 陪審/陪審員団 構成するd of 高度に 同志/支持者, vengeful & vindictive MPs , nearly all of whom are already on the 記録,記録的な/記録する viciously attacking the person they are 裁判官ing. It is an obscene 職権乱用.”

In 返答 to Ms Dorries’s comment, 労働 MP Chris Bryant said: “Let’s talk about 職権乱用 such as 不法に 一時停止するing 議会 or 施し物ing out peerages to 寄贈者s or 涙/ほころびing up the 支配するs to 保護する Owen Paterson.

The 調査(する) is 存在 led by a cross-party 委員会 with a Tory 大多数 that chose 退役軍人 労働 MP Harriet Harman to lead it.

Ms Dorries and Lord Goldsmith 株d a Mail o n Sunday article that (人命などを)奪う,主張するd the 委員会’s 初めの 調査 was to 設立する whether the 総理大臣 had ーするつもりであるd to 誤って導く MPs, but that it was broadened to find out whether he did so 故意に or unintentionally, after he said he had inadvertently done so.

However, a 広報担当者 for the 特権s 委員会 said: “There has been no change to the 支配するs or to 条件 of 言及/関連.

“The 初期の 報告(する)/憶測 published by the 委員会 is about 過程. The background paper on contempt was 用意が出来ている by a 上級の clerk of the House of ありふれたs. All clerks are 厳密に 政治上 impartial.

“The 報告(する)/憶測 also publishes the advice from distinguished former 法廷,裁判所 of 控訴,上告 裁判官 Sir Ernest Ryder. The 委員会 has published this 構成要素 as part of its かかわり合い to transparency”.

They 追加するd that the 調査 will 始める,決める out to answer whether the House was misled; if so, whether that was a contempt; and if so, how serious that contempt was.

The 問題/発行する of whether MPs were deliberately misled could arise under the latter two steps of the 調査.

The Covid 法律-breaking parties in 負かす/撃墜するing Street were の中で the スキャンダルs that 軍隊d Mr Johnson’s 辞職 as Tory leader, and his 後継者 will become the next 首相 in September.

But the 委員会’s 調査 脅すs to その上の (名声などを)汚す his 遺産/遺物 and could 衝撃 his 未来 as the MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

If he is 設立する to have lied to 議会, Mr Johnson could 直面する a 中断 from the ありふれたs for 10 or more sitting days and a 解任する 嘆願(書), which, if 調印するd by 10% of his 選挙権を持つ/選挙人s, would 誘発する/引き起こす a 補欠選挙.

The MPs on the 委員会 ーするつもりである to call Mr Johnson to give oral 証拠 in public in the autumn, under 誓い.

The 総理大臣 has also been ordered to を引き渡す a (武器などの)隠匿場所 of 文書s to them.
