Truss 約束s £19bn extra 税金s for big companies after U-turn

総理大臣 Liz Truss’s U-turn, which will 追加する an extra £19 billion to the 税金 法案 of big companies, will only fill around a third of the 穴を開ける in the public 財政/金融s that 経済学者s have identified.

After three weeks of 圧力 に引き続いて (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長 Kwasi Kwarteng’s 会計の 声明, he was shown the door on Friday と一緒に one of the biggest 税金 削減(する)s he 発表するd.

It would have cancelled the 計画(する) introduced by former (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長 Rishi Sunak to bring the 会社/団体 税金 率 to 25% in April next year, from 19% 現在/一般に.

The 率 is 徴収するd on 商売/仕事s with more than £250,000 in 利益(をあげる)s every year.

Ms Truss said: “I have… decided to keep the 増加する in 会社/団体 税金 that was planned by the previous 政府.”

経済学者s at the 学校/設ける for 会計の 熟考する/考慮するs 概算の that the 政府 might have to make 貯金 of more than £60 billion a year by 2026.

But the U-turn will barely cover a third of that, meaning その上の 活動/戦闘 might be needed to get 負債 落ちるing, the IFS said

“The direct 影響 of re-introducing the co rporation 税金 増加する (or cancelling the 取り消し) is… いっそう少なく than a third of the 強化するing we identified as 存在 necessary,” said IFS 経済学者 Isabel Stockton.

She said that the changes could bring other 衝撃s that 少なくなる or 増加する the 重荷(を負わせる) on public 財政/金融s, and 強調する/ストレスd that the £60 billion 人物/姿/数字 depends on how much the economy grows.

“But it’s 楽観的な to 推定する/予想する the 会社/団体 税金 change to be 十分な to get 負債 落ちるing on its own.”

Mr Sunak said at the time he 引き上げ(る)d 会社/団体 税金 that the 政府 needed the money to help balance the 調書をとる/予約するs after 大規模な spending during the pandemic to 支え(る) up 職業s and keep 商売/仕事s going.

But on the Tory leadership (選挙などの)運動をする 追跡する in July, Ms Truss 約束d she would 取り消す the planned 引き上げ(る).

In the 小型の-予算 three weeks ago, it was one of a raft of 税金 削減(する)s ? or scrapped 税金 rises ? that Ms Truss and Mr Kwarteng 約束d.

They also 公約するd to 捨てる the 付加 率 of 所得税, something that will cost around £2 billion a year.

The 政府 has now U-turned on both of these 政策s after their unfunded 税金 削減(する)s 誘発するd market 騒動.

It means 大臣s have 列/漕ぐ/騒動d 支援する on a little under half of the changes 発表するd in the 小型の-予算.

By the 財政上の year ending in 2027, the 削減(する)s were 概算の to cost around £45 billion. The U-turns have 逆転するd nearly £21 billion of this.

The 決意/決議 創立/基礎 think 戦車/タンク said that the remaining billions in 税金 削減(する)s and より悪くするing 経済的な 見通し could leave the new (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長, Jeremy 追跡(する), with 堅い 決定/判定勝ち(する)s.

“The last two weeks ha ve seen the 告示 and unravelling of the worst unforced error in British 経済的な 政策 making for 世代s,” said 決意/決議 創立/基礎 boss, Torsten Bell.

“The 総理大臣 today got rid of her (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長 and has junked almost half of her 税金 削減(する)s.

“However, the need to 基金 the remaining 税金 削減(する)s and darker 経済的な 見通し, 含むing higher 負債 利益/興味 costs, means that にもかかわらず today’s U-turns, Jeremy 追跡(する) has just two weeks to decide how to fill a 黒人/ボイコット 穴を開ける of several tens of billions of 続けざまに猛撃するs in the public 財政/金融s.”
