政府 勧めるs British Steel to continue 会談 まっただ中に 恐れるs for hundreds of 職業s
British Steel has been 勧めるd to continue 会談 with the 政府 and 再考する its “peculiar” 計画（する）s to axe 800 hundred 職業s.
商売／仕事 大臣 Nusrat Ghani criticised the タイミング of the 告示 given a “generous 一括 of support” is under discussion with the Chinese-owned 製造業の company.

The company, owned by the Chinese Jingye Group, 計画（する）s to 削減（する） hundreds of 職業s in 計画（する）s to の近くに its coke ovens in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, and will “optimise” several hundred more, a union source has said.

“The 商売／仕事 長官 (認める Shapps) and I have always been （疑いを）晴らす that the success of the UK steel 産業 is a 優先 and we’ll work intensively with British Steel on support to help 保護（する）／緊急輸入制限 and 打ち明ける 株主 投資, and we’ll continue to do so.”
Ms Ghani 追加するd: “I would encourage the company to continue discussions with us to reach a 解答. I can indeed 確認する the 政府 has put 今後 a generous 一括 of support which, we believe, 連合させるd with 株主 活動／戦闘, would put British Steel on a 維持できる and decarbonised 地盤.
“My 公式の／役人s are helping British Steel to understand that 一括 in more depth and I’m 希望に満ちた that together we will find a 解答 which 保護するs 職業s whilst setting British Steel up for success.”
She went on: “I would 勧める British Steel to continue discussions to help us 安全な・保証する its 未来 in the UK.”
Ms Mumby-Croft said she was 怒り／怒るd by the company’s approach.
She said: “In the 中央 of these 交渉s with 政府 伴う／関わるing hundreds of millions of 続けざまに猛撃するs of その上の support, on 最高の，を越す of what (Ms Ghani) has 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d, Jingye sat 負かす／撃墜する yesterday with the unions and talked about laying off 800 British steelworkers.

“But I will be （疑いを）晴らす: I cannot and will not defend this 決定／判定勝ち（する） which is 容認できない in every possible way for my 選挙権を持つ／選挙人s.
“This is not a way to behave, it sends 完全に the wrong message and 違反s the spirit of 交渉s, which I believe are the result of a level of 政府 焦点（を合わせる） on steel and its wider 問題／発行するs, 含むing energy and 炭素 costs, that are genuinely encouraging for the 産業.
“Hundreds of families in Scunthorpe are now worried sick wondering if and when they will lose their 職業s.”
Once a 巨大（な） of British 製造業の, the 商売／仕事 has struggled over the past １０年間.
Jingye Group became the man ufacturer’s third owner in four years when it bought British Steel out of insolvency in 2020. But now Jingye has said it needs taxpayer 基金ing to keep the doors open.
保守的な former 大臣 Andrew Percy said he was “angry” at the way 労働者s had been 扱う／治療するd by Jingye.
The MP for Brigg and Goole said: “This is no way to 行為／行う a 交渉 with 政府, it is no way to engage with their 全労働人口 or with 地元の Members of 議会, at a time when the 政府 has put hundreds of millions of 続けざまに猛撃するs on the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する to help support the 部門.
“So I can only join with my honourable friend in 需要・要求するing that Jingye and British Steel show a little bit more 尊敬（する）・点 to our 選挙権を持つ／選挙人s and 交渉する in good 約束.”
SNP MP Dave Doogan (Angus) asked the 大臣 “why doesn’t she nationalise” the steel 産業 given how much public money it receives.
Ms Ghani said nationalisation would not solve 全世界の problems for the steel 産業, and would not make UK steel “more 競争の激しい”.
