No 量 of training can 準備する you for Turkey 荒廃, says firefighter
A firefighter has said “no 量 of training” could have 用意が出来ている her for the 荒廃 she has 証言，証人／目撃するd in 地震-攻撃する，衝突する Turkey.
Emma Atcherley, from Bedwas, 近づく Caerphilly, South むちの跡s, 述べるd the “rollercoaster” of emotions of working in a 災害 zone ? from saving a 90-year-old woman from the がれき to seeing dead 団体／死体s piled up on the 味方する of the road.
Ms Atcherley, 42, was one of 77 search and 救助（する） specialists from 14 解雇する／砲火／射撃 and 救助（する） services across the UK to be （軍隊を）展開する，配備するd to the country through the Foreign, 連邦／共和国 and 開発 Office in 返答 to last week’s 地震s.
Having served with the South むちの跡s 解雇する／砲火／射撃 and 救助（する） Service for 19 years it is her first （軍隊などの）展開，配備 with the UK International Search and 救助（する） (UK-ISAR) team.
But she said the 規模 of the 破壊 had shocked even the most seasoned firefighters, who had worked on a number of 大災害s over the years.
“Turkey is my first （軍隊などの）展開，配備 with UK-ISAR and no 量 of training could ever 準備する you for how 堅い life is on the ground,” she said.
“Anything we work on that is やめる true to real life are made 安全な before we train on them, 反して here we were going into buildings that were not 安全な, and making tunnels not really knowing when the next aftershock might happen.

“That level of 苦悩 you just can’t 準備する for.
“Nor the level of intensity, because you 絶えず feel like you are on a stopwatch and up against the clock.
“You’ve got such a 限られた／立憲的な window to make a real difference and pull people out alive.”
Ms Atcherley was part of the team on Saturday that pulled out two 生存者s who had been 罠にかける in the がれき of a 崩壊（する）d building for 120 hours.
She was also 伴う／関わるd in pulling out a 90-year-old woman on the UK team’s first day in Turkey, and another man the に引き続いて day.
The specialists have been working in Antakya in Hatay 州 since last Tuesday, after 存在 緊急発進するd by the UK 政府.
She said: “It is so good when you pull someone out.
“The reaction of the families when we’ve saved lives has been really 心暖まる, seeing their 救済 and knowing that we’ve changed someone’s life.

“世代s of families are going to be around now because of some of those 救助（する）s.”
“I don’t think I’ve cried yet, but throughout the day you go to a work 場所／位置 and you are up and you are 負かす／撃墜する. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster,” she 追加するd.
“The worst moments have been seeing the 死んだ 存在 pulled out of the がれき.
“A lot of the 地元の teams have been working with 脅迫者s and have been taking 死んだ out of the がれき.
“Seeing them piled up at the 味方する of the road and the grieving families ? that’s difficult. It’s so sad.
“Also giving people bad news that there’s nothing we can do after we’ve （悪事，秘密などを）発見するd no 調印するs of life, those are the worst moments.
“Outside most 崩壊（する）d buildings, there’s 親族s sat just waiting, which is やめる hard to see that level of 苦しむing.
“They want us to bring their loved ones out alive or dead.
“We are a live 救助（する） team, so we have had to explain we can’t do anything if we can’t find 調印するs of life, which is really hard.

“Unfortunately, there are more of the low moments than the highs.”
The mother-of-two said she is looking 今後 to an emotional 再会 with her husband Leon and daughters Florence, 10, and Martha, eight.
She said: “I’m not sure how much my kids understand of what’s going on. I know that at school they watch Newsround, so they will have seen something.
“I also know that their teacher did a little talk on me 存在 part of the UK 政府’s 返答 and what the team were doing.
“I know the kids are very proud of me, but they don’t like me leaving and they were not happy that I was going. Any time I’ve spoken to them it’s very much been ‘When are you coming home?’.
“I’m sure there will be lots of 叫び声をあげるing and 涙／ほころびs if I manage to 選ぶ them up from school when I get 支援する.”
