Families of Keyham 犠牲者s call for shotgun 法律制定 changes, 検死 hears
The families of the 犠牲者s of 銃器携帯者／殺しや Jake Davison are calling for changes in shotgun licensing in the wake of the 殺人，大当りs, an 検死 heard.
They want to see the 法律 updated to end the distinction between the licensing of shotguns and ライフル銃／探して盗むs.
Changes in the 法律 could see 限界s placed on the types of shotguns 合法的に held, the type of 弾薬／武器 a 証明書 支えるもの／所有者 could buy and 量s they could 蓄える／店.
Devon and Cornwall Police had 認めるd Davison a five-year shotgun 証明書 in January 2018, and he later bought a pump-活動／戦闘 Weatherby shotgun and hundreds of 一連の会議、交渉／完成するs of cartridges suitable for 狙撃 large game.

On August 12 2021, Davison killed his mother Maxine, 51, three-year-old Sophie Martyn, her father, 物陰／風下, 43, Stephen Washington, 59, and Kate Shepherd, 66, in Keyham, Plymouth.

Mr 追跡（する） replied: “I think since the 1968 行為／法令／行動する there are 際立った differences between 小火器 and shotguns, such as around 審判（をする）s.
“We are considering whether we need to change that. We have strict 条件s in this country, such as home checks and 医療の 報告（する）／憶測s.”

Mr 追跡（する） said the 1968 行為／法令／行動する did have “teeth” and said differences 現れるd because shotguns were 歴史的に used by 農業者s and gamekeepers, while ライフル銃／探して盗むs were more popular for spor t.
Mr Adamson said: “One of the 結果s of this 検死 should be that the Home Office puts 今後 法律制定 to 修正する the 小火器 行為／法令／行動する or to 取り消す it.”
Mr 追跡（する） replied: “I can’t comment to that. If the 検死官 makes such a 推薦, we would look at it.
“If we were to 提携させる shotguns with Section 1 小火器, we would have to change the 最初の／主要な 法律制定.”

Mr Adamson 示唆するd the 政府’s 受託 of the Cullen 報告（する）／憶測 was “just words” and never developed a 国家の training programme.
“It led to two 行為／法令／行動するs of 議会 and the 開発 of the Home Office 指導／手引,” Mr 追跡（する） replied.
“It would be for the police to take 今後 as a whole training. It would not be for the Home Office to take it 今後.”

Mr 追跡（する） said: “The Home Office was very 関心d at the time as the Home Office did a lot of work to try and engage with the BMA and to try and understand the 決定／判定勝ち（する）.”
