関心 over Covid 調査 PR 会社／堅いs that worked for 政府 during pandemic
There is “かなりの unease” の中で families （死が）奪い去るd by Covid about the 国家の 調査 into the pandemic 雇うing PR 会社／堅いs who 以前 worked for the UK 政府, the chairwoman was told.
Pete Weatherby KC, who is 代表するing （死が）奪い去るd families, told a 予審 of the UK Covid-19 調査 that it was an “激烈な／緊急の 関心” for his （弁護士の）依頼人s to read 報告（する）／憶測s that companies 伴う／関わるd in 促進するing the 調査（する）’s いわゆる “listening 演習” had past 契約s with 政府 departments.
It was 確認するd in October that PR 巨大（な） M&C Saatchi would “help the 調査 知らせる people how and when to come 今後 to talk about what happened to them”.
The 調査 later 発表するd that London-based creative 機関 23red had been subcontracted by Saatchi to 補助装置 with the 事業／計画（する）.
A spokeswoman for the 調査 said 公式の／役人s were “満足させるd” there were “no 衝突s of 利益／興味” in 雇うing the two 会社／堅いs.
During the 開会／開廷／会期 on Tuesday, Mr Weatherby 特記する／引用するd 報告（する）／憶測ing by the website openDemocracy, 明言する／公表するing that both M&C Saatchi and 23red 以前 had “契約s to work on the 政府’s Covid 返答”, と一緒に other public 部門 work.
The barrister told chairwoman Baroness Hallett: “Another website 主張するs that 23red 現実に worked from the 閣僚 Office on that work.
“I’m not commenting on whether those accounts are 訂正する or ind eed whether there is an actual 衝突 of 利益／興味, but there is かなりの unease about this.
“And what we 捜し出す is a （疑いを）晴らす 指示，表示する物 from the 調査 as to it using companies that have undertaken what might reasonably be perceived to be a 衝突 of 利益／興味.
“And indeed, for companies 契約d to do 調査 work, to make a public 声明 関心ing any work they have done that could be perceived to be a 衝突.”

He said that without a “強健な and transparent approach to these 問題／発行するs” then the listening 演習 would “have いっそう少なく 公共事業（料金）／有用性 and いっそう少なく 信用性”.
The first part of the UK Covid-19 調査, which its 合法的な team has requested be 延期するd from May until June, will look at the UK’s preparedness for a pandemic, with thousands of pages of UK 政府 証拠 始める，決める to be 精査するd through as part of the 過程.
A spokeswoman for the 調査 said: “The 調査 is developing an 広範囲にわたる, 全国的な, listening 演習 that will enable thousands of people across the UK to 株 their experiences of the pandemic.
“It has 任命するd 研究 and communications specialists to support this.
“The 調査 発表するd that the communications 契約 was awarded to M&C Saatchi at its 予審 on October 31.
“An update was also 地位，任命するd on its website. ‘23red has been subcontracted by M&C Saatchi to 供給する the 調査 with 専門的知識 on working with 外部の organisations to support public 約束／交戦 and encourage people to 株 their experiences.’
“The 契約 was awarded in line with 栄冠を与える 商業の Service’s 強健な 調達 規則s, 確実にするing transparency and value for money for the taxpayer.
“We were 満足させるd there are no 衝突s of 利益／興味 for the 任命するd 供給者s which would 影響する／感情 the 配達／演説／出産 of the listening 演習.”
M&C Saatchi and 23red have been approached for comment.
