Mother （刑事）被告 over 腎臓 移植（する） 陰謀（を企てる） says family is `everything´
The wife of a 上級の Nigerian 政治家，政治屋 （刑事）被告 of plotting to arrange an 違法な 腎臓 移植（する） for their sick daughter has told 賠審員s that her family means “everything”.
Accountant Beatrice Ekweremadu, 56, is on 裁判，公判 at the Old Bailey with her husband, 上院議員 Ike Ekweremadu, 60, their daughter Sonia, 25, and 医療の “middleman” Dr Obinna Obeta, 50.
They are （刑事）被告 of conspiring to bring a 21-year-old street 仲買人 from Lagos in Nigeria to London to 偉業／利用する him for his 団体／死体 part.
It is （人命などを）奪う，主張するd the young man was 誤って 現在のd as Sonia’s cousin in a failed 企て，努力，提案 to 説得する medics to carry out an £80,000 私的な 手続き at the 王室の 解放する／自由な Hospital.
It is 申し立てられた／疑わしい that the 寄贈者 was to be paid a 財政上の reward for his 腎臓, which would have made the 移植（する） unlawful.
Giving 証拠 on Monday, Mrs Ekweremadu told 賠審員s: “My family means everything to me.
“Our children are the most important gift God has given to us and we 心にいだく them.
“Let me paint a picture of one of the things we do as a family: When my first son was at the University of Lancashire 熟考する／考慮するing 法律 he complained about one of the modules, my husband spent the whole day teaching and guiding him through.
“What I teach my children is this family, each and every one of us, that’s the only thing we have so if anything is happening to your siblings you have to get on it.
“When something is happening to one of us, one of our siblings, nobody will 残り／休憩（する） until that is solved.”
The mother-of-four, who worked 十分な-time in the Nigerian auditor general’s office, told 賠審員s her husband took care of the 世帯 財政／金融s, によれば the Nigerian custom.
Her husband had a staff of around 80 people, 含むing drivers and 国内の staff, but she cooked for him at home because “he prefers eating my food”, she said.

Defence barrister Anu Mohi ndru KC said: “There are text messages from your husband keeping you 知らせるd of what was happening. Is that something he would do?”
The 被告 replied: “Yes. He tells me what he thinks I need to know.”
The barrister went on to 問い合わせ if 上院議員 Ekweremadu had relayed his discussions with his medically trained brother Diwe.
Mrs Ekweremadu told 賠審員s she regarded Diwe Ekweremadu as the family doctor but did not ask about it.
It is 申し立てられた／疑わしい Diwe’s former classmate, Dr Obeta, 申し込む／申し出d to help the family after を受けるing his own 腎臓 移植（する）.
Mr Mohindru asked: “Did your husband or Diwe discuss with you about the classmate who had the 移植（する）, Dr Obeta?”
Mrs Ekweremadu said: “I got 要点説明 from time to time, not everything.”
She was asked what she knew about the その後の search for 寄贈者 候補者s.
She told 賠審員s: “I do not know the 十分な 詳細（に述べる）s. I just know that Dr (Diwe) Isaac was speaking with his friend who was trying to help us, having gone through the 手続き.
“It’s in line with the culture, our people, when you marry a woman you are ready to 保護する and cater for her.”
Mr Mohindru asked: “Were you 伴う／関わるd in identifying any 候補者s?”
Mrs Ekweremadu said: “No.”
Mr Mohindru said: “Were you 伴う／関わるd in any discussions in identifying 候補者s?”
The 被告 again 否定するd it.
The defence barrister went on: “Were you aware a 移植（する） was the most likely 解答 for your daughter?”
Mrs Ekweremadu, a churchgoing Anglican Christian, said: “Yes, but we are still believin g in God.”
She was asked how she felt when she was told a 可能性のある 寄贈者 “matched very 井戸／弁護士席 for 移植（する）”.
She replied: “It has not got to the point of 移植（する）. We are still believing the 状況／情勢 can be managed by using 麻薬s and the 治療 she has been going through.”
The 起訴 主張する that after the 寄贈者 was 拒絶するd by medics at the 王室の 解放する／自由な Hospital, the Ekweremadu’s switched their attention to Turkey and began searching for more 寄贈者s.
Asked why her daughter’s 医療の 治療 had been moved to another country, Mrs Ekweremadu 示唆するd one of the 推論する／理由s was the cost of 透析 becoming more expensive.
She 追加するd: “Of course, my daughter is still sick and we are 捜し出すing for a 解答.”
The Ekweremadus, who have an 演説（する）／住所 in Willesden Green, north-west London, and Obeta, from Southwark, south London, 否定する the 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s against them and the 裁判，公判 continues.
