No-one has an 代案/選択肢 to the 遺産/遺物 法案, says Heaton-Harris

The 国務長官 for Northern Ireland has said no-one has 現在のd him with an 代案/選択肢 to the 政府’s 遺産/遺物 法案.

The UK 政府’s Troubles (遺産/遺物 and 仲直り) 法案 含むs a form of 限られた/立憲的な 免疫 for some 悪党/犯人s of 罪,犯罪s committed during the 衝突, if they 共同製作する with a truth 回復 団体/死体.

It would also 妨げる 未来 civil 事例/患者s and 検死s into Troubles offences.

Chris Heaton-Harris’s comments on the 法案 (機の)カム as he spoke to マスコミ after 発表するing a peace 基金ing 事業/計画(する) for Northern Ireland, in 共同 with the EU and 共和国 of Ireland, totalling の近くに to £1 billion.

There was a silent 抗議する held against the 遺産/遺物 法案 outside the Newforge Sports Centre in south Belfast, where the 国務長官 met with Irish 首相 Leo Varadkar and 副/悪徳行為-大統領,/社長 of the European (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限 Maros Sefcovic to 発表する the new 基金ing 計画/陰謀.

“Lots of people 範囲d against the 遺産/遺物 法案, but no-one has an al ternative for what could かもしれない 取って代わる it, and no-one can tell me that the 現在の 状況/情勢 that has been running for the last 25 years has been 満足な to the families of 犠牲者s either,” he said.

“So I fully 認める this is not perfect. I’ve met with an awful lot of people who lost loved ones in the Troubles, I’ve met with people who had family members maimed, I’ve met with people who are truly 犠牲者s, I cannot put myself in their shoes.

“But 25 years on, some of these families will have been looking for answers (from) when the Troubles 開始するd ? you could say the best part of 40 or 50 years ? and 港/避難所’t really received them.

“This is an honest and true 試みる/企てる to try and get (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) for those families.”

Mr Varadkar said he has 勧めるd Mr Heaton-Harris to pause the UK 政府’s 議論の的になる 法案 to を取り引きする the 遺産/遺物 of the Northern Ireland Troubles.

“I had a chance to 会合,会う with the 国務長官 today and once again 表明するd the Irish 政府’s 対立 to the 遺産/遺物 法案,” he said.

“It isn’t 法律 yet, it still has to pass through the House of Lords and receive 王室の Assent. Once again, I 控訴,上告d to the UK 政府 to pause this, we don’t think it is the 権利 thing to do.”

Mr Varadkar has 以前 said he would “give consideration to whether an interstate 事例/患者 is appropriate” in the 事例/患者 of the 遺産/遺物 法案.

Ireland has 以前 taken an interstate 事例/患者 against the UK in relation to 尋問 techniques used in Northern Ireland from 1971 to 1975.

In Belfast on Monday, Mr Varadkar said he would be 捜し出すing 合法的な advice on whether the Irish 政府 would take such a 事例/患者 against the UK.

“We 港/避難所’t yet made a 決定/判定勝ち(する) on whether or not we will take an interstate 事例/患者,” he said.

“That is a big 決定/判定勝ち(する), it is not a small thing to do to take a 隣人ing 明言する/公表する to 法廷,裁判所.

“Before we make that 決定/判定勝ち(する), we are going to need to 捜し出す 合法的な advice from our own 弁護士/代理人/検事 general and we shall do that in the next couple of weeks.”

Speaking at the 抗議する John Teggart, son of Daniel Teggart, one of 11 犠牲者s of the Ballymurphy 大虐殺, said families like his would not be at peace until the 遺産/遺物 法案 was abandoned.

“It is disgraceful that families like ourselves are still having to stand in 抗議する after 50 years,” he said.

“We feel that the Irish 政府 is leaving us behind and we need this interstate 事例/患者 to be taken すぐに against the British 政府.

“We 認める today it is good news day, we welcome all the 基金ing that has come 今後 from PeacePlus to the many groups and community organisations, 特に those 供給するing services to 犠牲者s and 生存者s.? We support their good work.

“But what you have to remember is that families like ourselves are not at peace.? We can’t be at peace until this 遺産/遺物 法案 of shame is binned and that can only be 達成するd by an interstate 事例/患者 taken by the Irish 政府 which is the fastest way to 敗北・負かす it.

“Don’t be leaving 犠牲者s behi nd, 保護する our human and civil 権利s by taking an interstate 事例/患者 すぐに.”
