Six high-street banks given `red´ 警告 over eco 政策s, Which? 明らかにする/漏らすs

Six of the UK’s biggest high-street banks have been placed in a “red” 警告 部類 by 消費者 支持する/優勝者 Which? over their 化石 燃料 投資s and かかわり合いs to 取り組むing 気候 change.

JP Morgan Chase, Santander, Barclays, HSBC, NatWest Group and Lloyds Banking Group were exposed for having too weak green 信任状.

Spanish bank Santander received the second-lowest total 得点する/非難する/20 of 23%.

Its 化石 燃料 財政/金融ing was far lower, at around 51 billion US dollars (£42 billion) for the same period, but it was 率d 貧しく for its 姿勢 on 化石 燃料s and 農業の 商品/必需品s.

Barclays said many oil and gas companies are “批判的な” to the 移行 to a low-炭素 商売/仕事 model, and that it can “make the greatest difference by working with 顧客s and (弁護士の)依頼人s” as they change and modernise.

“Where companies are unwilling to 減ずる their 放出/発行s 一貫した with 国祭的な 受託するd pathways, they may find it difficult to 接近 財政/金融ing, 含むing from Barclays,” a spokesperson said.

HSBC received a two-星/主役にする 率ing for its coal, oil and gas 政策s, and is one of the UK’s biggest 化石 燃料 支援者s. However, the bank has 誓約(する)d to stop 供給するing new 財政/金融 for new oil and gas fields.
