Sunak 辞退するs to criticise Braverman over homelessness comments
Rishi Sunak has 辞退するd to criticise the Home 長官’s （人命などを）奪う，主張する that rough sleeping is いつかs a “lifestyle choice” but stopped short of repeating her comments.
The 総理大臣, who visited the Bacton Gas 終点 in Norfolk on Monday, was 圧力（をかける）d on whether such language was “不快な／攻撃” after another 上級の 閣僚 大臣 distanced herself from Suella Braverman’s 発言／述べるs.
Mrs Braverman has been criticised by 対立 政治家，政治屋s and the charity 部門 after 示唆するing she wants to place 制限s on the use of テントs on public streets.
“I don’t want anyone to sleep rough on our streets,” Mr Sunak said.
“That’s why the 政府 is 投資するing £2 billion over the next few years to 取り組む homelessness and rough sleeping. I’m pleased that the number of people sleeping rough is 負かす／撃墜する by a third since the 頂点（に達する）, but of course there is more to do.
“Our Homelessness 削減 行為／法令／行動する, which is a 目印 法律 that we passed, has already 確実にするd that over 600,000 people have had their homelessness 妨げるd or relieved. So I’m proud of that 記録，記録的な／記録する.
“But of course there is more to do and we’ll keep going so that nobody has to sleep rough on our streets.”
It was 報告（する）／憶測d over the 週末 that Mrs Braverman has 提案するd 設立するing a civil offence to 阻止する charities from giving テントs to homeless people.
Organisations could be 罰金d for doing so if it is みなすd to have 原因（となる）d a nuisance under the 計画（する）s 存在 pitched for 傾向 in the King’s Speech, which will 始める，決める out the UK 政府’s 法律を制定する 協議事項 on Tuesday.

The 可能性のある 法律 would also 捜し出す to 妨げる the obstruction of shop doorways by rough sleepers who are using テントs, the FT said.
In a 地位，任命する on X, 以前は known as Twitter, the Home 長官 said the UK should not become San Francisco or Los Angeles and 警告するd against rough sleeping becoming a “lifestyle choice”.
“We will always support those who are genuinely homeless,” Mrs Braverman said.
One former homeless man, who spent six months sleeping rough and 述べるd his テント as a “lifeline”, challenged Ms Braverman to walk the streets with him to see the realities some people 直面する.

Energy 長官 Claire Coutinho moved on Monday to distance herself from Ms Braverman’s comments.

Ms Coutinho told Times 無線で通信する: “Before I （機の）カム to 議会 I did a lot of work in social 司法（官）. I 現実に worked with people who were homeless, and I think the 推論する／理由s that people get into that position are コンビナート／複合体 and very 変化させるd, so I wouldn’t やむを得ず use the language of ‘lifestyle choice’.

“I think the most important thing is that, for all of those people, what we want is for them to have a warm home, a roof over their 長，率いるs, support and help for the challenges that they 直面する.”
