Sick 支払う／賃金 in the UK “is far too low” and “I’d 二塁打 it”, Matt Hancock has told the Covid-19 調査.
Under 尋問 from the 貿易（する）s Union 議会 (TUC), former health 長官 Mr Hancock was asked about self-孤立／分離 支払い（額）s for people 苦しむing from Covid-19.

Asked what the other half of the problem was, Mr Hancock said: “井戸／弁護士席 sick 支払う／賃金 in this country is far, far too low.
“It’s far lower than the European 普通の／平均（する）, it encourages people to go to work when they should be getting better.
“Having low sick 支払う／賃金 encourages the spread of communicable 病気s.
“Having higher sick 支払う／賃金… would encourage 雇用者s to do more to look after the health of their 従業員s.
“Before the pandemic, I’d been on an 内部の 政府 （選挙などの）運動をする to 意味ありげに 増加する sick 支払う／賃金. I’d 二塁打 it if I had a 魔法 病弱なd.

“So moving from three days to one day of 支払い（額） was a small step, which 明白に was necessary for the pandemic ? and I enthusiastically embraced ? but I would have gone far, far higher.
“We needed 孤立／分離 支払い（額）s from the start. We got them in the end by September. And I 支払う／賃金 尊敬の印 to the 貿易（する）s Union 議会 for their （選挙などの）運動をするing on this 問題／発行する, which helped me get it over the line.”
