Community order for man who called Tory MP´s office 説: `I´m coming for you´

A man has been given a community order after calling the office of Tory MP マイク Freer and 説: “I’m coming for you.”

Last month James Phillips, of Brampton Park Road, north London, 認める making the call on January 31, the same day Mr Freer 発表するd on his website that he will stand 負かす/撃墜する at the next 総選挙 に引き続いて a 一連の death 脅しs and an 放火(罪) attack on his 選挙区/有権者 office.

The 46-year-old appeared at Westminster 治安判事s’ 法廷,裁判所 on Wednesday to be 宣告,判決d for an 不快な/攻撃 or 脅迫的な telephone call and 強襲,強姦ing a police officer.

地区 裁判官 Neeta Minhas made a 14-month community order, with 25 rehabilitation activity days, and 課すd a 抑制するing order banning Phillips from 接触するing Mr Freer 直接/まっすぐに or 間接に for two years.

The office of Finchley and Golders Green MP Mr Freer received three calls on January 31, two of which were “激しい breathing” and the third which 伴う/関わるd the 被告 説: “Make sure to tell the police I’m coming for you, you c***, not just マイク Freer but you 同様に.”

The 政治家,政治屋’s personal assistant said Phillips had been calling and emailing with abusive messages for だいたい three or four years, the 法廷,裁判所 heard.

But Rita Patel, defending, said her (弁護士の)依頼人 does not 受託する that he made communications of a 脅すing nature 以前.

But while she 定評のある the eight-year gap in 感情を害する/違反するing, 裁判官 Minhas said Phillips had “no end of offences of 暴力/激しさ and making 脅しs to other people” up to 2016.

Phillips’s phone call to Mr Freer’s office was 記録,記録的な/記録するd and 労働者s recognised the number as that of the 被告, the 法廷,裁判所 has heard 以前.

After he was 逮捕(する)d and taken into 保護/拘留, he 試みる/企てるd to punch a police officer who was trying to bring him out of a 独房 for an interview.

On Wednesday, Ms Patel also 言及/関連d Phillips’ childhood 外傷/ショック and possible mental health 問題/発行するs in mitigation, and told the 法廷,裁判所 that the officer received no 傷害s.

The 被告 will have to 支払う/賃金 the officer he tried to punch £200 in 補償(金).

In Mr Freer’s 告示 of standing 負かす/撃墜する at the next 総選挙, which was made on January 31 and 含むd a letter to his 地元の 保守的な 協会 時代遅れの January 28, the MP said it was time to “say enough” as he could no longer put his family through the 苦悩 for his safety.
