Date 始める，決める for 延期するd 大統領の 選挙 in Senegal
The Senegalese 政府 has 始める，決める March 24 as the new date for the country’s 延期するd 大統領の 選挙.
大統領 Macky Sall, who should be coming to the end of his second and final period in office, said in 早期に February that he was 延期するing an 選挙 for 10 months, just weeks before it was 始める，決める to take place on February 25.
But Senegal’s highest 選挙 当局, the 憲法の 会議, 拒絶するd that move and ordered the 政府 to 始める，決める a new 選挙 date as soon as possible.
“The 大統領 of the 共和国 知らせるd the 会議 of 大臣s of the setting of the date of the 大統領の 選挙 for Sunday March 24 2024,” 政府 spokesperson Abdou Karim Fofana said in a 声明.

“The 大統領 of the 共和国 also 知らせるd the 総理大臣 and 大臣s of the 形式 of a new 政府.”
総理大臣 Amadou Ba, an 選挙 frontrunner who has been 是認するd by the 去っていく／社交的な 大統領，／社長, was 取って代わるd by Sidiki Kaba who was the 内部の 大臣.
Wednesday’s 告示 （機の）カム as news broke that the 憲法の 会議 had 拒絶するd a 提案 by civil, political and 宗教的な leaders that the 選挙 be held on June 2.
Mr Sall has said he will step 負かす／撃墜する by April 2 when his 任期 is 予定 to end but there had been 関心s over who would take over from him if 選挙s were not held before then.
In 延期するing the 選挙, he had 特記する／引用するd the 論争s over the final 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of 候補者s ― some of whom were disqualified ― as a major 関心 that could 脅す the country’s 安定.
But the 対立 （刑事）被告 him of a “憲法の クーデター”, 主張するing that he was plotting to 長引かせる his stay in office. Mr Sall 否定するd this in an interview with The Associated 圧力（をかける）, 説 the country needed more time to 解決する the 論争s.
For a country that used to be seen as a beacon of democratic 安定, the 選挙 延期する raised 関心s about the democratic 拒絶する／低下する in West Africa, a 地域 疫病／悩ますd by クーデターs and insecurity.
