L-実験(する) could 減少(する) three-point turn

The dreaded three-point turn could become a thing of the past after the 政府 signalled the biggest shake-up to the 運動ing 実験(する) in 20 years.

Learners may be asked to use a 衛星 航海 system as part of a 改訂するd practical exam, while the three-point-turn - more recently known as the "turn in the road" - could be scrapped altogether.

Around 1,000 learner drivers across the UK will be asked to 参加する a 裁判,公判 of new practical exam 対策 designed to "better 反映する real-life 運動ing".

The 実験(する) has 存在するd in its 現在の form for around two 10年間s, although "独立した・無所属 運動ing" - where 運転者s are asked to find their way to a 目的地 - has formed part of the practical exam in 最近の years.

A Driver and 乗り物 基準s 機関 (DVSA) 広報担当者 said: "We are carrying out 初期の 研究 to 調査する how the 運動ing 実験(する) could better 反映する real-life 運動ing. Any 未来 changes to the 実験(する) would be 支配する to 十分な public 協議."

The 裁判,公判 will 調査する 延長するing the 独立した・無所属 運動ing section from 10 to 20 minutes of the total 40-minute length, and asking 候補者s to follow directions on a satnav, as an 代案/選択肢 to using road 調印するs.

It will also consider 取って代わるing the "逆転する around a corner" and "turn in the road" manoeuvres with more 現実主義の everyday manoeuvres, such as 逆転するing out of a parking bay, or pulling up on the left or 権利 before re-joining the flow of traffic, the DVSA said.

Learners may also be asked one of the two 乗り物 safety questions while on the move instead of at the start of the 実験(する). This could 伴う/関わる asking 候補者s to show how they would operate the heated 後部 審査する while 運動ing.

The 運動ing 指導者s 協会 (DIA), the largest 産業 団体/死体 代表するing driver and rider trainers, has welcomed 政府 計画(する)s to review the 運動ing 実験(する).

"The DIA and its members will play a 重要な 役割 in the 事業/計画(する) as it is 批判的な '顧客s' of the 実験(する), such as 運動ing 指導者s and 候補者s, have their input in making the 実験(する) more fit for 目的 and more reflective of modern 運動ing."

In-depth 研究 will be carried out ーするために un derstand where 重要な 改良s in the 現在の 査定/評価 could be made.

RAC 創立/基礎 director Professor Stephen Glaister said: "We all rely on our sat navs but they are not infallible and it is when they have led us 負かす/撃墜する a dead end that we need to know how to do a three-point turn.

"In our 見解(をとる) a three-point turn is still an important manoeuvre for getting out of cul de sacs, dead ends and often car parks.

"結局, self-parking cars will do away with 平行の parking and, who knows, the driverless car might just do away with the 実験(する)."
