Man 有罪の of 過失致死 of student 設立する in boot of burnt-out car

A 27-year-old man has been 設立する 有罪の of the 過失致死 of a student whose 団体/死体 was 設立する in the boot of a burnt-out car.

The 21-year-old's 団体/死体 was 設立する in the boot of a burnt-out V olkswagen Jetta, which had been 捨てるd in a road by Ifield ゴルフ Club 近づく Horsham, West Sussex, on March 13 last year.

Jeffrey-Shaw 認める setting the car alight but 否定するd 殺人.

Mr 司法(官) Jeremy Stuart-Smith said he would 宣告,判決 Jeffrey-Shaw on Friday.

He said that as a 裁判官 he did not want "to say anything that would seem superfluous" and told them "there are no 勝利者s in a 裁判,公判".

Mr Bennetts said Ms Muller had been experiencing mental health problems and had been 認める to Mill 見解(をとる) Hospital in Hove, but went 行方不明の on the evening of March 12.

He told the 法廷,裁判所 that phone 記録,記録的な/記録するs and CCTV (映画の)フィート数 showed that the 被告's phone and his car were in the Brighton area on the evening that Ms Muller disappeared.

He said she was last seen approaching an 身元不明の car in Kingsway, Hove, East Sussex, at 1.15am on March 13.

Mr Bennetts said that when Jeffrey-Shaw was 逮捕(する)d, he answered "no comment" during his interview by 探偵,刑事s but a 声明 of his defence position 明言する/公表するd that he 否定するd Ms Muller's 殺人.

He said: "He said that he didn't kill Janet Muller, in that he didn't know that she was in the boot of the 乗り物, but he said that 麻薬 売買業者s that he knew had borrowed the car from him, and when they returned the car to him he was told to bu rn the car さもなければ he would be 発射.''

Mr Bennetts said Jeffrey-Shaw did tell officers: "I am not getting done for something I 港/避難所't done. The whole thing is a nightmare I 港/避難所't woken up from."

Ms Muller was buried in Berlin last May.

"We are glad that the man 責任がある Janet's death will not walk 解放する/自由な but nothing can erase the loss of Janet."

A University of Brighton 広報担当者 said: "Janet was a 有望な, sparky and witty student who loved football, both as a player and 観客.

"She was academically able and her lecturers all believed she had a 有望な 未来 ahead of her.

"Her loss has been felt 広範囲にわたって across the university community and she will not be forgotten.

"Our thoughts are with Janet's family and friends."
