8,383 NHS 患者s 扱う／治療するd by 肝炎 C 労働者 勧めるd to arrange 血 実験（する）
More than 8,300 患者s across the UK who may have been 扱う／治療するd by a former healthcare 労働者 who 実験（する）d 肯定的な for 肝炎 C are 存在 勧めるd to arrange a 血 実験（する） after two 感染させるd 患者s were 設立する.
The 労働者 did not return to 臨床の practice after 実験（する）ing 肯定的な in 2008 but NHS Lanarkshire is now working with other health boards across the UK to 通知する people who may have had a surgical 手続き carried out by the individual between 1982 and 2008.
The individual worked in hospitals across Lanarkshire during the period, おもに in Wishaw General Hospital and the former 法律 Hospital.
NHS Lanarkshire said more than 8,000 患者s across the UK may have been 扱う／治療するd by a former NHS healthcare 労働者 who 実験（する）d 肯定的な for 肝炎 C
They also worked at the William Harvey Hospital in Kent for three months between January and April 2006.

In total, 8,383 患者s across the UK are to receive letters 知らせるing them of the 状況／情勢 and 勧めるing them to arrange a 血 実験（する）.
The 広大な 大多数 - 7,311 - are in Lanarkshire, with more than 700 across the 残り／休憩（する） of Scotland, 336 in England, a その上の 11 in むちの跡s and five in Northern Ireland.

The ウイルス 感染させるs the 肝臓 and can 原因（となる） serious and 潜在的に life-脅すing 損失. Around 215,000 people in the UK have 肝炎 C, によれば the NHS.
It is usually spread through 血-to-血 接触する and can be passed by 株ing unsterilised needles, かみそりs or toothbrushes.
The NHS said it does not have any noticeable symptoms until the 肝臓 has been 意味ありげに 損失d, meaning people can have the 感染 without realising it.
When symptoms do occur, they can be flu-like and 原因（となる） tiredness and a loss of appetite.

"However, for 推論する／理由s of confidentiality we will not be able to 明らかにする／漏らす the 指名する of the healthcare 労働者 or the two 患者s, or any 詳細（に述べる）s which would lead to their 身元確認，身分証明."
The healthcare 労働者 実験（する）d 肯定的な for 肝炎 C during a 決まりきった仕事 occupational health examination and was すぐに 一時停止するd from practice.
Dr John Logan, 顧問 in public health 薬／医学 at NHS Lanarkshire, said （危険などに）さらす during surgical 手続きs occurs when a healthcare 労働者 支えるs an 傷害 and a small 量 of 血 goes into "open tissue" of the 患者.
