The health board said: "After 詳細(に述べる)d 調査s, 含むing 広範囲にわたる 実験(する)ing of ウイルスs, NHS Lanarkshire submitted a 報告(する)/憶測 to UKAP. UKAP 是認するd NHS Lanarkshire's 提案 to carry out a 患者 notification 演習.

The NHS said it does not have any noticeable symptoms until the 肝臓 has been 意味ありげに 損失d, meaning people can have the 感染 without realising it.

When symptoms do occur, they can be flu-like and 原因(となる) tiredness and a loss of appetite.

UKAP chairman Professor David Goldberg defended the 決定/判定勝ち(する) not to 通知する 患者s in 2008, 説 there was no 証拠 then that any 患者 had been 感染させるd by the healthcare 労働者.

He said: "I think it's a very reasonable 決定/判定勝ち(する). It wasn't the wrong 決定/判定勝ち(する) based on the 証拠 we had at the time."

"However, for 推論する/理由s of confidentiality we will not be able to 明らかにする/漏らす the 指名する of the healthcare 労働者 or the two 患者s, or any 詳細(に述べる)s which would lead to their 身元確認,身分証明."

"The 危険 to the public both in Lanarkshire and across the country is low but I would encourage anyone receiving a letter to (問題を)取り上げる the 申し込む/申し出 of a 血 実験(する), to 確実にする that those who do need it receive 効果的な 治療 quickly."

Leon Wylie, lead officer of 肝炎 Scotland, said: "It is very unfortunate that there has been 可能性のある healthcare 労働者- 関係のある 肝炎 C 伝達/伝染s in a surgical setting in Lanarkshire.

"It is 理解できる many 患者s who are 接触するd to come 今後 for 実験(する)ing will be very worried by this as, although the 危険 is low, some 伝達/伝染s from 労働者 to 患者s have probably occurred.

"The 重要な point we want to 最高潮の場面 for those 影響する/感情d is that 肝炎 C is now easily treatable and that there is an over 90% cure 率 in most 事例/患者s. To get 扱う/治療するd, first you need to know if you have the ウイルス, so 受託するing the 申し込む/申し出 of a 実験(する) is vitally important.

"We want to 安心させる people 肝炎 C is not transmitted by normal daily activities or 接触する with others, such as 株ing food or kissing. It is only when there is 可能性のある 血 to 血 接触する, such as 株ing かみそりs, that the 可能性 of passing it to others 存在するs."
