Former Taoiseach Liam Cosgrave left Ireland a better place, one of his closest friends told his funeral.
Mr Cosgrave was leader of the 共和国’s 政府 during some of the most 騒然とした years of the Northern Ireland 衝突 and has been 述べるd as a 勇敢な 発言する／表明する against テロ行為.

He said: “Liam left our country a better place as a result of his life and his life’s work.”
Mr Cosgrave died on Wednesday 老年の 97.

His son said: “I would like to 認める the 広大な／多数の／重要な support given by members of An Garda Siochana 負かす／撃墜する the years to the Cosgrave family and to dad in particular.
“He was a 広大な／多数の／重要な 支持者 of theirs, and they returned it tenfold.
“My father had a 広大な／多数の／重要な affinity for the Army and it is 広大な／多数の／重要な to see them here with him to the very end.”

He said: “Liam Cosgrave loved his family, he loved his country, he loved his 約束.
“He was a 愛国者 in the very best sense of that 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語.”

“正直さ was the hallmark of his 私的な life and his public life.”
Mr Cosgrave was buried in Goldenbridge 共同墓地, Inchicore, beside his father WT Cosgrave, a 重要な 人物／姿／数字 in the 創立／基礎 of the Irish 解放する／自由な 明言する／公表する and an officer in the 1916 Rising.
His wife Vera died last year.
