John McCain: The war hero who became 共和国の／共和党の 大統領の 候補者
上院議員 John McCain, who 直面するd 負かす／撃墜する his captors in a Vietnam 囚人 of war （軍の）野営地，陣営 and later turned his 反抗的な streak into a 35-year political career, has died after 戦う／戦いing brain 癌 for more than a year.
Mr McCain, 81, was elected to the 上院 from Arizona six times but twice 妨害するd in 捜し出すing the 大統領／総裁などの地位.
Mr McCain returned to the 上院 in 2009, 決定するd not to let that 敗北・負かす define him.
In his valedictory memoir, The Restless Wave, Mr McCain wrote of the world he 住むd: “I hate to leave it. But I don’t have a （民事の）告訴. Not one.”
He continued: “I’ve known 広大な／多数の／重要な passions, seen amazing wonders, fought in a war and helped make a peace… I made a small place for myself in the story of America and the history of my times.”

His breaking point with Mr Trump was the 解放（する） a month before the 選挙 of a lewd 音声部の in which Mr Trump said he could kiss and 得る，とらえる women.
Mr McCain said he would rather 令状 in the 指名する of a 保守的な 共和国の／共和党の “who’s qualified to be 大統領，／社長”.
When Mr Trump 非難するd him for the 生き残り of the Affordable Care 行為／法令／行動する, Mr McCain 匂いをかぐd, “I’ve 直面するd tougher adversaries.”
John Sidney McCain III was born in 1936 in the パナマ Canal zone, where his father was 駅／配置するd in the 軍の.

That often made him a critic of first Mr Obama and then Mr Trump, and moved him その上の away from the growing 孤立主義 within the 共和国の／共和党の Party.
In October 2017, Mr McCain blistered Mr Trump’s “America first” forei gn 政策 approach as a “half-baked, spurious 国家主義 cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems”.
