Owen admission draws 批評 from Alan Shearer
Alan Shearer?has criticised Michael Owen for 明らかにする／漏らすing he “couldn’t wait to retire” during the last few years of his career, which 含むd time spent under Shearer at Newcastle.
Owen 得点する／非難する／２０d more than 200 goals in a 17-year club career which began at Liverpool and featured （一定の）期間s with Real Madrid, Newcastle, Manchester 部隊d and Stoke.

“I was quick, running in channels, （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域ing people,” Owen, 38, told BT Sport. “That’s who I was ? compared to the last six or so years when I turned into the only thing I could.
“I was petrified of running into a channel. I just knew I was going to 涙／ほころび a muscle. The worst thing about it is your instinct is to do what you have done all your life but you start thinking: ‘Oh no, don’t.’
“For six or seven years I hated it. I couldn’t wait to retire.?It wasn’t me. All I was doing is coming short, linking play and getting in the box. It ended up with people thinking I was a 広大な／多数の／重要な goalscorer who didn’t do much else. Mentally I could do it, but 肉体的に I couldn’t.”
Owen was 賞賛するd in some ４半期/4分の1s for 存在 honest about his 状況／情勢, but Shearer was not so impressed, 令状ing on Twitter: “Not sure @nufc fans, チーム仲間s or 雇用者s will want to thank him.”
Shearer was Newcastle’s 管理人 経営者／支配人 for the final eight games of the 2008-09 season which ended with the club 存在 relegated from the 首相 League.
Owen played in seven of those games without 得点する／非難する／２０ing and 行方不明になるd the penultimate game of the season, a 1-0 home 敗北・負かす to Fulham.
