Hauliers 攻撃する,衝突する out at `incoherent´ HMRC as 大臣s discuss Brexit 準備s

HMRC needs “a 爆弾 up their arse” after months of “incoherent” communication to 仲買人s ahead of Brexit, hauliers have said.

The 声明 comes after 閣僚 大臣s met organisations 含むing the Road Haulage 協会 (RHA) in Dover to discuss 準備s for Brexit at the 国境.

Duncan Buchanan, 政策 director for the RHA in England and むちの跡s, was の中で those who met (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長 of the Duchy of Lancaster Michael Gove, Home 長官 Priti Patel and 輸送(する) 長官 認める Shapps at the Port of Dover.

He said the 大臣s 手配中の,お尋ね者 to hear about the challenges and problems 直面するd by those 代表するd at the 会合.

Mr Buchanan told PA: “We were really (疑いを)晴らす. I 本人自身で raised the 問題/発行するs of 不明瞭な, incoherent communication from HMRC and other parts of 政府.

“I pointed out that there is no 鮮明度/定義 of what is ‘国境 ready’, so a lorry that comes here that’s supposed to be 国境 ready and supposed to have al l of its paperwork in order ? how can it have its paperwork in order when the people at the 輸出業者s and the people who are doing the 兵たん業務 don’t have any 鮮明度/定義 of what is 要求するd to 現実に 輸送 the 国境?”

Mr Buchanan said the 大臣s talked about “taking 活動/戦闘” to 演説(する)/住所 the problems.

He said: “What we have to do now is we have to wait and see what happens. And that’s the 重要な thing.

“What we need is 決定的な, (疑いを)晴らす 活動/戦闘.”

Mr Buchanan 追加するd: “Really what I 手配中の,お尋ね者 was a (疑いを)晴らす understanding at the highest possible level that these things need to be done because it needs to 送信する/伝染させる 負かす/撃墜する through the civil service that what is out there at the moment is not good enough.

“And やめる 率直に, HMRC in particular, need a 爆弾 up their arse to really start thinking about the 完全にする and total absence of coherent (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) that 仲買人s can use.”

Mr Buchanan pointed out HMRC is 責任がある creating 支配するs and 規則s relating to customs documentation that is 要求するd in and out of the UK.

He said the 会合 on Wednesday was about recognising how, in a 限られた/立憲的な period of time, “we have to get things done”.

Mr Buchanan 追加するd: “One of the things that still worries me is the 概念 of 非難するing 仲買人s or 非難するing the haulage 産業 or 非難するing drivers. That worries me, because it’s not their fault.

“They 港/避難所’t been given the 道具s to do the 職業. All we need is the 道具s to do the 職業.

“We should have had the 道具s to do the 職業 支援する in March, we should have had it in November last year.

“We shouldn’t be in this position. We are. And if these people can 配達する some of these things that we really need then 広大な/多数の/重要な.

“And if it takes the 長官s of 明言する/公表する and the さまざまな people who were around that (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する to kick people up the bum, then so be it.”

Other organisations 代表するd at the 会合 含むd the Freight 輸送(する) 協会 (FTA), the UK 議会 of Shipping, and the Britis h Ports 協会.

Earlier, Heidi Skinner, 政策 and public 事件/事情/状勢s 経営者/支配人 at the FTA, told PA: “Freight and 兵たん業務 has never been a sexy 支配する, but it goes 支援する to everything, how our country runs.”

She 追加するd: “兵たん業務 has always been so seamless. People don’t 高く評価する/(相場などが)上がる how much it touches people’s lives ? it goes into every 選び出す/独身 選挙区/有権者, every 選び出す/独身 town, whether that’s 薬/医学 in your hospitals to the food in the supermarket to the food going into the children’s schools.

“And I think that people 港/避難所’t 高く評価する/(相場などが)上がるd the コンビナート/複合体 nature of these 供給(する) chains and so it’s now coming to the 最前部 that 現実に 輸送(する) is one of the 重要な 問題/発行するs that needs to be 演説(する)/住所d.”

Ms Skinner said 欠如(する) of communication from the 政府 has been a problem.

“We don’t yet know what 国境 準備完了 looks like,” she said.
