Boris Johnson and Dominic Raab have paid 尊敬の印 to the 犠牲者s of Srebrenica on the 25th 周年記念日 of the 大虐殺 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“As in so many 事例/患者s from this 衝突 which brought 暴力/激しさ and 破壊 across the western Balkans, many families still do not know what happened to their loved ones. Many 悪党/犯人s have still not been held to account.

“And there are those who would prefer to forget or 否定する the enormity of what took place. We must not 許す that to happen.

“We 借りがある it to the 犠牲者s and to 未来 世代s to remember Srebrenica and to 確実にする it never happens again.”

Mr Raab said in a 声明: “On the 25th 周年記念日 of the Srebrenica 集団殺戮, we remember the 犠牲者s and the anguish of their families.

“During my time in the Hague between 2003 and 2006, 追求するing those 責任がある this dark 一時期/支部 in European history, I was reminded daily of the heinous cruelty (罪などを)犯すd against the innocent.

However, Mr Johnson is 直面するing calls from 30 MPs to apologise for comments he made in the 観客 in 1997 regarding the 集団殺戮.

In a letter to the PM, the cross-party group led by 労働’s Tony Lloyd wrote: “In 1997, when you were a political columnist for the 観客, you wrote an article challenging Bianca Jagger’s support for more direct 介入 against the Serbian Army i n the Bosnian war.

“You wrote: ‘Alright, I say, the 運命/宿命 of Srebrenica was appalling. But they weren’t 正確に/まさに angels, these イスラム教徒s’.

“As we 祝う/追悼する the 25th 周年記念日 of the 残虐(行為), it is 考えられない that you would 公然と …に出席する 国家の 記念の events, without having apologised for such comments.”
