Go-ahead for cattle TB ワクチン 裁判,公判s as 戦略 転換s from badger culls

Field 裁判,公判s of a cattle ワクチン for bovine tuberculosis (TB) have been given the go-ahead as part of moves to 段階 out badger culling to 取り組む the 病気.

The 裁判,公判s are 始める,決める to get under way in England and むちの跡s to 加速する (軍隊などの)展開,配備 of a cattle ワクチン for TB by 2025, the 政府 発表するd.

It is part of a 転換 in 戦略 to 段階 out 集中的な culling of badgers, a 保護するd 種類 which can 送信する/伝染させる the 病気 to livestock, and has been made possible by a 打開 by the Animal and 工場/植物 Health 機関 (APHA).

以前 it was not possible to vaccinate cattle as 実験(する)s for the 病気 could not differentiate between vaccinated animals and those which had bovine TB.

But an 効果的な “Diva” 実験(する) which can differentiate between 感染させるd and vaccinated animals has been developed, and will be 実験(する)d と一緒に the BCG ワクチン in field 裁判,公判s.

The field 裁判,公判s have been given the green light by the Veterinary 薬/医学s Directorate, and will take place in two 段階s, with the second 扶養家族 on the 結果 of the first.

The first will 設立する the Diva 肌 実験(する)’s specificity ? how likely it is to 正確に give a 消極的な result for uninfected animals ? and its safety in?around 300 unvaccinated animals from five TB-解放する/自由な herds in England and むちの跡s.

段階 two will 設立する the safety of the ワクチン and the Diva 実験(する) in vaccinated cattle and the specificity of the Diva 実験(する) in around 2,000 cattle, 1,000 of which will be vaccinated and the other half used as a 支配(する)/統制する.

“As wider preventative 対策 like cattle ワクチンs are introduced, we will 加速する other elements of our 戦略 and start to 段階 out badger culling, as no one wants to continue the cull of a 保護するd 種類 無期限に/不明確に.”

< p>Professor Lord John Krebs, who wrote a 重要な 報告(する)/憶測 on badgers and TB in 1997, said that if the ワクチン and Diva 実験(する) are 効果的な it “will be a major 打開 for TB?支配(する)/統制する”.

“A ワクチン would end the need for badger culling,” he said.
