Captain Sir Tom Moore receives 名誉として与えられる freedom of his home town

Captain Sir Tom Moore has been awarded the freedom of his home town for his 優れた fundraising 成果/努力s.

He 述べるd becoming an 名誉として与えられる freeman of Keighley, West Yorkshire, as a “特権”, 追加するing: “I remain truly humbled and 感謝する for the support I have received from far and wide but the warm 歓迎会 I have received coming home is 特に special to me.

The 100-year-old Second World War 退役軍人, who has raised almost £33 million for the NHS, was 迎える/歓迎するd by an honour guard from members of the Yorkshire 連隊 for the special 儀式 at the Town Hall Square in Keighley town centre.

His family also watched as a plaque was 明かすd in his honour.

Captain Sir Tom had 始める,決める out to raise £1,000 by walking 100 (競技場の)トラック一周s of his garden in the village of Marston Moretaine in Bedfordshire before his 100th birthday on April 30.
