Harry and Meghan visit Los Angeles 国家の 共同墓地 to 示す Remembrance Sunday
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have visited the Los Angeles 国家の 共同墓地 to 示す Remembrance Sunday.
Harry and Meghan were absent from the 年次の 記念 at the Cenotaph in London, having begun a new life in California after stepping 負かす／撃墜する as working 王室のs.
A 広報担当者 for the couple said it was important to them “to be able to 本人自身で recognise Remembrance in their own way”.
The couple laid flowers that Meghan 選ぶd from their garden at the gravesites of two 連邦／共和国 兵士s, one who had served in the 王室の Australian 空気／公表する 軍隊 and one from the 王室の Canadian 大砲.
They also placed a 花冠 at an obelisk in the 共同墓地 that features a plaque inscribed “In Memory of the Men Who 申し込む／申し出d Their Lives In Defence Of Their Country”.
Harry 調印するd a message with the 花冠 説: “To all of those who have served, and are serving. Thank you.”

Harry, who spent 10 years in the 武装した 軍隊s, is wearing a 海軍 控訴 with his service メダルs 大（公）使館員d, while Meghan is wearing a long belted 黒人／ボイコット coat.
A 広報担当者 for the couple said: “It was important to the duke and duchess to be able to 本人自身で recognise Remembrance in their own way, to 支払う／賃金 尊敬の印 to those who have served and to those who gave their lives.”
Harry earlier 述べるd the day as “a moment for 尊敬（する）・点 and for hope” during an 外見 on a 軍の podcast.

“It’s how we 保存する the 遺産／遺物s of entire 世代s and show our 感謝 for the sacrifices they made in order for us to be able to live the lives we live today.”
Harry 追加するd: “Even when we can’t all be together, we always remember together.”
On the podcast, which 文書s stories from the 軍の community, the duke also spoke about his own service which 含むd two 小旅行するs of Afghanistan.

“I wear it to celebrate the bravery and 決意 of all our 退役軍人s, and their loved ones, 特に those in our Invictus family.
“These are the people and moments I remember when I salute, when I stand at attention and when I lay a 花冠 at the Cenotaph.”
Harry created the Invictus Games in 2014 for 負傷させるd, 負傷させるd or sick 武装した services 職員／兵員 and 退役軍人s from around the world to compete in a 範囲 of sports.
In previous years, the duke has 示すd the day with visits to the Cenotaph and Westminster Abbey’s Field of Remembrance.
