A 軍の 契約 価値（がある） £233.5 million to 持続する Poseidon 潜水艦 追跡（する）ing 航空機 has been 発表するd by the 省 of Defence (MoD).
The Poseidon (P-8A) is the RAF’s 海上の patrol 航空機 specialising in anti-潜水艦 戦争, identifying and 跡をつけるing 潜在的に-敵意を持った 大型船s around UK waters.
The five-year 契約 is 推定する／予想するd to create 107 職業s at RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, 焦点（を合わせる）d on 航空機 維持／整備 and support, with a その上の 46 地位，任命するs at 場所／位置s in Bristol, Yeovil and Gosport.

Nine Poseidon 航空機, based on the Boeing 737-800, were ordered from Boeing by the UK.
Five 航空機, 指名するd the Pride of Moray, City of Elgin, Terence Bulloch, Spirit of Reykjavik and Fulmar, are all now operating out of Lossiemouth, with four 推定する／予想するd to be 配達するd later this year.
The Poseidon (n)艦隊／(a)素早い is operated from a new £100 million 施設 at RAF Lossiemouth that opened in September 2020, which 含むs a three-bay hangar, accommodation for 騎兵大隊s, training, 使節団 support and two flight simulators.
