Australia introduces contentious 宗教的な anti-差別 法律制定

SYDNEY, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Australia on Thursday introduced contentious 宗教的な anti-差別 法律制定 to 議会 that if 認可するd would 許す 約束-based organisations to prioritise the 雇うing and enrolment of people from their 約束.

宗教的な freedom has been in the スポットライト in Australia for years まっただ中に 関心 from some that the likes of churches, schools, and workplaces are unable to 表明する their 宗教的な beliefs.

In a move seen as 的ing 宗教的な 投票者s with an 選挙 just months away, 総理大臣 Scott Morrison said the 法律制定 would 保護する people who 表明する their 宗教的な 約束 outside of the workplace as long as it did not 原因(となる) 財政上の 損失 to their 雇用者.

"People should not be cancelled or 迫害するd or vilified because their beliefs are different from someone else's," said Morrison, a devout Pentecostal Christian, while introducing the 法案 in the 議会's lower house.

Morrison said the 法律制定 would also 保護する Australians who make "声明s of belief" from 差別 法律s, but only if those 声明s do not "脅す, 脅迫してさせる, 悩ます or vilify a person or group".

Australia's 存在するing Sex 差別 行為/法令/行動する 許すs schools to 追放する students or 解雇(する) teachers for 存在 gay. Morrison 誓約(する)d in 2018 to 改革(する) the 法律制定.

LGBT groups support 改革(する)ing the 行為/法令/行動する but have criticised the new 法案 説 it would enable 差別 against gay students and teachers as it 許すs prioritising the 雇うing and enrolment of people based on 約束.

The 法案 has also divided the 議会, with some 保守的なs 政府 国会議員s 脅すing to 投票(する) against the 法律制定 until Morrison moves to 廃止する 明言する/公表する 委任統治(領)s 要求するing COVID-19 ワクチンs.

The 法律制定 is 推定する/予想するd to be put to a 投票(する) next week in the lower house, but it is far from 保証(人)d to pass into 法律. The 法案 is 推定する/予想するd to be revi ewed before 存在 投票(する)d on in the upper house 上院 いつか in 2022-23.

Australia's 議会 is in its last sitting fortnight for the year and Morrison could call an 選挙 before it 再開するs in 2022. Morrison must return to the 投票s by May 2022.
