Biden arrives in Oregon as Democratic 持つ／拘留する on 知事／長官の職 is 脅すd

PORTLAND, 鉱石., Oct 14 (Reuters) - U.S. 大統領 Joe Biden arrived in Oregon on Friday to 決起大会／結集させる support for the Democratic 州知事の 候補者, who is in danger of losing in a 明言する／公表する where a 共和国の／共和党の has not been elected 知事 since 1982.
The race for the 知事／長官の職 炭坑，オーケストラ席s 民主党員 Tina Kotek against 共和国の／共和党の Christine Drazan and an 独立した・無所属 候補者, Betsy Johnson, a former 民主党員 who is financially 支援するd by Nike co-創立者 Phil Knight. Biden, who won the 明言する／公表する by 16 points over Donald Trump in the 2020 大統領の 選挙, is （選挙などの）運動をするing for Kotek just as 最近の public opinion 投票s 示唆する Drazan has pulled into the lead. While some Democratic 候補者s around the country have distanced themselves from Biden, seeing him as a political 義務／負債, Kotek is hoping for both a political and fundraising 上げる. Biden arrived in Oregon's largest city of Portland after making stops in Colorado and California over the last few days.

Drazan, though 保守的な, has distinguished herself from 候補者s across the country who have 可決する・採択するd former 大統領 Donald Trump's 誤った （人命などを）奪う，主張するs about having the 2020 選挙 stolen from him.

Johnson, too, 試みる／企てるd to play up the idea that Biden's visit would only help 対抗者s of Kotek, who was （衆議院の）議長 of the Oregon 衆議院 from 2013 to January this year.
"I hope he comes more often so that Portland will finally clean up more of the trash and テント cities that Tina's created between the airport and downtown Portland," Johnson said in a 声明, referring to people who are without homes and sleeping outside in public spaces, a 現象 in many cities in the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs.
