Roman 下水管 作品 明らかにする/漏らす statue of emperor 提起する/ポーズをとるing as Hercules

ROME, Feb 1 (Reuters) - A life-sized statue of a Roman emperor 提起する/ポーズをとるing as the classical hero Hercules has been discovered during 下水管 修理 作品 近づく the Appia Antica (Appian Way), 古代の Rome's first 主要道路.

It shows frown lines on the forehead that are typical of depictions of emperors from the 3rd century, a time of 深い 危機 for the Roman Empire.

The sculpture 耐えるs a "fair resemblance" to Emperor Decius, who 支配するd Rome from 249 to 251 AD, Paolillo said, 追加するing it was "やめる rare" to find Herculean depictions of Roman leaders.
