LONDON, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Tens of thousands of nurses and 救急車 service staff walked off the 職業 on Monday in a 支払う/賃金 論争, putting その上の 緊張する on Britain's 明言する/公表する-run 国家の Health Service with their largest ever strike.

Nurses and 救急車 労働者s have been striking 分かれて since late last year but Monday's ストライキ 伴う/関わるing both, 大部分は in England, is the biggest in the 75-year history of the NHS.

Nurses will also walk out on Tuesday, 救急車 staff on Friday, and physiotherapists Thursday, making the week probably the most 破壊的な in NHS history, its 医療の Director Stephen Powis said.

Health 労働者s are 需要・要求するing a 支払う/賃金 rise that 反映するs the worst インフレーション in Britain in four 10年間s. The 政府 says that would be unaffordable and only 原因(となる) more price rises, making 利益/興味 率s and mortgage 支払い(額)s rise その上の.

"The 政府 needs to listen and discuss 支払う/賃金 rather than just 説 the NHS doesn´t have money," said nurse Ethna Vaughan, who was part of a demonstration outside St. Thomas' Hospital in central London.

"We cannot 生き残る with what we´re 存在 paid."

Around 500,000 労働者s, many from the public 部門, have been 行う/開催する/段階ing strikes since last summer, 追加するing to 圧力 on 総理大臣 Rishi Sunak to 解決する the 論争s and 限界 disruption to publi c services such as 鉄道s and schools.

The 王室の College of Nursing (RCN) 貿易(する) union wrote to Sunak over the 週末 asking him to bring the nursing strike "to a swift の近くに" by making "meaningful" 支払う/賃金 申し込む/申し出s.

A spokesperson for Sunak said on Monday there were no 計画(する)s for the 首相 to get 伴う/関わるd in the 会談, 追加するing: "We want to keep discussing how we can find a path 今後 with the unions."

"We've got one of the busiest winters we have ever had with 記録,記録的な/記録する levels of 基金ing going into the NHS to try and manage services," Maria Caulfield, the 大臣 for mental health and women's health 戦略, told Sky News on Monday.

"So every パーセント of a 支払う/賃金 増加する takes money away."

'BLEAK FUTURE'

The NHS, a source of pride for most Britons, is under extreme 圧力 with millions of 患者s on waiting 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる)s for 操作/手術s and thousands each month failing to receive 誘発する 緊急 care.

The RCN says a 10年間 of poor 支払う/賃金 has 与える/捧げるd to tens of thousands of nurses leaving the profession - 25,000 over just the last year - with the 厳しい staffing 不足s 衝撃ing 患者 care.

"We've got to look at the 未来, and that's what this is all about ... it looks like a very 荒涼とした 未来," said nurse Rebecca Cosgrave, also at the demonstration St. Thomas' Hospital.

"A lot of people have left the profession already because they're so disillusioned," she said, while also 述べるing how poor 支払う/賃金 was making it harder to 新採用する more nurses.

The RCN 最初 asked for a 支払う/賃金 rise of 5% above インフレーション and has since said it could 会合,会う the 政府 "half way", but both 味方するs have failed to reach 協定 にもかかわらず weeks of 会談.

一方/合間, t housands of 救急車 労働者s 代表するd by the GMB and 部隊 貿易(する) unions are 始める,決める to strike on Monday in their own 支払う/賃金 論争. Both unions have 発表するd several more days of 産業の 活動/戦闘.

Not all 救急車 労働者s will strike at once and 緊急 calls will be …に出席するd to.

In むちの跡s, nurses and some 救急車 労働者s have called off strikes planned for Monday as they review 支払う/賃金 申し込む/申し出s from the Welsh 政府.
