KAHRAMANMARAS, Turkey/DAMASCUS, Feb 6 (Reuters) - A 抱擁する 地震 killed more than 3,700 people across a 列 of Turkey and northwest Syria on Monday, with 氷点の winter 天候 追加するing to the 苦境 of the thousands left 負傷させるd or homeless and 妨害するing 成果／努力s to find 生存者s.
The magnitude 7.8 地震 brought 負かす／撃墜する whole apartment 封鎖するs in Turkish cities and piled more 荒廃 on millions of Syrians 追い出すd by years of war.
It struck before sunrise in 厳しい 天候 and was followed in the 早期に afternoon by another large 地震.
In Diyarbakir in southeast Turkey, a woman speaking next to the 難破 of the seven-storey 封鎖する where she lived said: "We were shaken like a cradle. There were nine of us at home. Two sons of 地雷 are still in the がれき, I'm waiting for them."
She was nursing a broken arm and had 傷害s to her 直面する.
"It was like the apocalypse," said Abdul Salam al-Mahmoud, a Syrian in the northern town of Atareb. "It's 激しく 冷淡な and there's 強い雨, and people need saving."
The 地震 was the biggest 記録，記録的な／記録するd 世界的な by the U.S. 地質学の 調査する since a （軽い）地震 in the remote South 大西洋 in August 2021.
In Turkey, the death （死傷者）数 stood at 2,316, the 災害 and 緊急 管理／経営 当局 (AFAD) said, making it the country's deadliest 地震 since a （軽い）地震 of simi lar magnitude in 1999 荒廃させるd the ひどく 居住させるd eastern Marmara Sea 地域 近づく Istanbul, 殺人，大当り more than 17,000.
At least 1,444 people were killed in Syria in Monday's 地震 and about 3,500 負傷させるd, によれば 人物／姿／数字s from the Damascus 政府 and 救助（する） 労働者s in the northwestern 地域 controlled by 謀反のs.

In the Turkish city of Iskenderun, 救助者s climbed an enormous pile of 破片 that was once part of a 明言する／公表する hospital's 集中的な care 部隊 in search of 生存者s. Health 労働者s did what they could to tend to the new 急ぐ of 負傷させるd 患者s.
"We have a 患者 who was taken into 外科 but we don't know what happened," said Tulin, a woman in her 30s, standing outside the hospital, wiping away 涙／ほころびs and praying.
Turkish 大統領 Tayyip Erdogan, 準備するing for a 堅い 選挙 in May, called the 地震 a historic 災害 and the worst 地震 to 攻撃する，衝突する the country since 1939, but said 当局 were doing all they could.
"Everyone is putting their heart and soul into 成果／努力s although the winter season, 冷淡な 天候 and the 地震 happening during the night makes things more difficult," he said.
The second 地震 was big enough to bring 負かす／撃墜する more buildings and, like the first, was felt across the 地域, 危うくするing 救助者s stru ggling to pull 死傷者s from the がれき.
In Syria, already 難破させるd by more than 11 years of civil war, the health 省 said 711 people had been killed. In the Syrian 反逆者／反逆する-held northwest 緊急 労働者s said 733 people had died.
The 国際連合 says 4.1 million people, many of them 追い出すd by the 衝突 and living in （軍の）野営地，陣営s, depend already on cross-国境 人道的な 援助（する） in northwest Syria and international support 成果／努力s are stretched and underfunded.
"Syrian communities are 同時に 攻撃する，衝突する with an 現在進行中の コレラ 突発／発生 and 厳しい winter events 含むing 強い雨 and snow over the 週末," U.N. 広報担当者 Stephane Dujarric told reporters in New York.
In the 政府-controlled city of Aleppo, （映画の）フィート数 on Twitter showed two 隣人ing buildings 崩壊（する）ing one after the other, filling streets with 大波ing dust.
Two 居住（者）s of the city, which has been ひどく 損失d in the war, said the buildings had fallen in the hours after the 地震, which was felt as far away as Cyprus and Lebanon.
In the Syrian 政府-held city of Hama, a Reuters 新聞記者／雑誌記者 saw an 明らかに lifeless child carried from the 廃虚s of a building.
'NO ONE CAME OUT'
In the 反逆者／反逆する-held town of Jandaris in Aleppo 州, a 塚 of 固める／コンクリート, steel 棒s and bundles of 着せる／賦与するs lay where a multi-storey building once stood.
"There were 12 families under there. Not a 選び出す／独身 one （機の）カム out. Not one," said a thin young man, his 注目する，もくろむs wide open in shock and his 手渡す 包帯d.
Raed al-Saleh of the Syrian White Helmets, a 救助（する） service in 反逆者／反逆する-held 領土 known for pulling people from the 廃虚s of buildings destroyed by 空気／公表する strikes, said they were in "a race against time to save the lives of those under the がれき".
Syrian 明言する／公表する television showed 救助（する） teams searching for 生存者s in 強い雨 and sleet. 大統領 Bashar al-Assad held an 緊急 閣議 to review the 損失 and discuss next steps, his office said.
In the Turkish city of Diyarbakir, Reuters 新聞記者／雑誌記者s saw dozens of 救助（する） 労働者s searching through a 塚 of 破片, all that was left of a big building, and 運ぶ／漁獲高ing off bits of 難破 as they looked for 生存者s. Occasionally they raised their 手渡すs and called for 静かな, listening for sounds of life.
U.S. 国務長官 Antony Blinken spoke by phone with Turkish 外務大臣 Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday about the 地震, 明言する／公表する Department spokesperson Ned Price said.
He made the call "in the first instance to 申し込む／申し出 弔慰s and to make （疑いを）晴らす...that anything Turkey needed that we could 供給する, they should 選ぶ up the phone and let us know," Price said. Erdogan said 45 countries had 申し込む／申し出d to help the search and 救助（する） 成果／努力s in Turkey.
The 地震 also 停止（させる）d 操作／手術s at Turkey's oil 輸出（する） 中心 in Ceyhan and stopped 天然のまま flows from Iraq and Azerbaijan.
