NEW YORK, June 7 (Reuters) - The former JPMorgan Chase & Co (n)役員／(a)執行力のある （刑事）被告 of shepherding the bank's 関係 with Jeffrey Epstein 正式に 否定するd 関与 in the 不名誉d financier's sex trafficking, and 非難するd JPMorgan for keeping him as a （弁護士の）依頼人.
In Wednesday night filings in Manhattan 連邦の 法廷，裁判所, Jes Staley said his 取引 with Epstein were not the "proximate 原因（となる）" of any 損害賠償金 JPMorgan might 背負い込む in two 訴訟s it 直面するs over its work with Epstein, a （弁護士の）依頼人 from 1998 to 2013.

JPMorgan 直面するs a 提案するd class 活動／戦闘 by women who （刑事）被告 Epstein of 性の 乱用, led by a former ballet ダンサー known as Jane Doe 1, and a 訴訟 by the U.S. Virgin Islands, where Epstein 恐らく 乱用d women on a 私的な island he owned.
The bank also wants Staley to 没収される his 支払う／賃金 from 2006 to 2013, 概算の in the tens of millions of dollars.
