EXPLAINER-Who are the 貸す人s stepping up as SocGen 規模s 支援する in Africa
DAKAR, June 8 (Reuters) - Societe Generale on Thursday agreed to sell some of its 商売／仕事s in Africa to pan-African banking groups Coris International and 個人として-held Vista.
The two are part of a new 世代 of 現れるing 貸す人s that are 選ぶing up 資産s as banking majors such SocGen, BNP Paribas, 基準 借り切る／憲章d and Barclays 減ずる their 足跡 on the continent.
CORIS BANK INTERNATIONAL
Burkina Faso 貸す人 Coris Bank International is 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d on West Africa's BRVM 地域の bourse and a part of Coris 持つ／拘留するing, 設立するd by Burkinabe entrepreneur Idrissa Nassa, who is also the chairman.
The bank has 拡大するd since 2008 to the eight countries of the West African 通貨の Union, and Guinea which has a separate 通貨.
Taking over SocGen's 操作／手術s in Mauritania and Chad would be the group's first foray into both countries. The bank is competing for market 株 in the 地域 with other 貸す人s 含むing Ecobank and Bank of Africa.
VISTA GROUP
Vista Bank is controlled by U.S.-based 投資 company Lilium 資本／首都, which was 設立するd by another Burkinabe 銀行業者 Simon Tiemtore.
Tiemtore, who has worked at Morgan Stanley in New York and 以前 長，率いるd 法人組織の／企業の 財政／金融 and （a）忠告の／（n）警報 services at the African 輸出（する） 輸入する Bank, is chairman of both Vista and Lilium Captial and also Lilium's CEO.
Vista has a 小売 banking presence in West Africa 含むing in Gambia, Guinea, Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone. Taking over SocGen's 子会社s in Congo and Equatorial Guinea will enable it to 拡大する into the Central African 地域の market.
It also took over BNP Paribas' 大多数 火刑／賭けるs in subsidiari es in Burkina Faso and Guinea in June and July 2021, それぞれ.
