Sport-IOC no nearer 決意/決議 on Russia, ウクライナ共和国 参加 at Paris 2024

GENEVA, July 13 (Reuters) - The International Olympic 委員会 (IOC) on Thursday said it was 直面するd with the "irreconcilable positions" of Russia and ウクライナ共和国 regarding the 参加 of ロシアの and Belarusian 競技者s at next year's Paris Olympics.

The IOC in March 問題/発行するd a first 始める,決める of 推薦s for international sports 連合s to 許す ロシアの and Belarusian 競技者s to return since they were banned in the wake of Moscow's 侵略 of ウクライナ共和国 last year.

In an updated 見解/翻訳/版 of these 推薦s published on Thursday, the IOC said: "We are still 直面するd with two irreconcilable positions. The ロシアの 味方する wants the IOC to ignore the war. The Ukrainian 味方する wants the IOC to 全く 孤立する anyone with a ロシアの and Belarusian パスポート."

Although the IOC said the Olympic 委員会s of Russia and Belarus would not receive an 公式の/役人 招待 to the Paris Games like other countries later this month, a 決定/判定勝ち(する) on their 参加 would be made at a later date.

"The IOC will take this 決定/判定勝ち(する) at the appropriate time, at its 十分な discretion, and without 存在 bound by the results of previous Olympic 資格 競争s," it said.

競技者s from Russia and Belarus have been 許すd to compete as 中立のs at the Hangzhou Asian Games to help them earn points to qualify for the Paris Olympics.

The IOC said it was deplorable that some European 政府s had shown "消極的な reactions" to its 姿勢 on the 参加 of Russia and Belarus.

"We have not seen a 選び出す/独身 comment from them about their 態度 に向かって the 参加 of 競技者s whose countries are 伴う/関わるd in the other 70 wars, 武装した 衝突s and crises in the world," it said.

It also said it regretted that Ukrainian 競技者s were absent from the judo and taekwondo world 選手権s 予定 to the 参加 of ロシアのs and Belarusians.

"It is hard to understand why the Ukrainian 政府 is 奪うing its own 競技者s of their chance to qualify for the オリンピック Paris 2024 and to make the Ukrainian people proud," the IOC said.
