U.S. Sugar agreed in March 2021 to buy 皇室の Sugar from 商品／必需品s 仲買人 Louis Dreyfus Co, which had paid $78 million for the company nine years earlier.

U.S. Sugar operates a 精油所 in Clewiston, Florida, about halfway between Fort Myers and West Palm Beach, that produces 850,000 トンs of 精製するd 茎 sugar a year, 法廷，裁判所 papers show.
皇室の Sug ar's 精油所 in Port Wentworth, Georgia, a Savannah 郊外, is about 450 miles (724 km) to the north.
