Sri Lanka August 消費者 price インフレーション 緩和するs to 2.1%

COLOMBO, Sept 21 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's 消費者 price インフレーション 率 緩和するd to 2.1% year-on-year in August from 4.6% in July, helped by 落ちるing food prices, the 統計（学） department said on Thursday.
The 国家の 消費者 Price 索引 (NCPI) 逮捕（する）s broader 小売 price インフレーション and is 解放（する）d with a lag of 21 days every month.
Food prices fell 5.4% in August after 拒絶する／低下するing 2.5% in July from a year earlier, the Department of 国勢（人口）調査 and 統計（学） said in a 声明.
Prices for 非，不，無-food items, however, climbed 9% in August after rising 10.9% year-on-year in July.
Sri Lanka's $2.9-billion bailout 安全な・保証するd from the International 通貨の 基金 (国際通貨基金) in March topped up foreign reserves -- which had dwindled to 記録，記録的な／記録する lows in 早期に 2022, 急落（する），激減（する）ing the island into its worst 財政上の 危機 in more than seven １０年間s -- and helped 安定させる the economy.
Since June, Sri Lanka´s インフレーション has come 負かす／撃墜する はっきりと from the runaway levels seen earlier, partly 予定 to the 統計に基づく base 影響, but also helped by a stronger rupee 通貨, and 改善するd 収穫s.
"Once the base-影響 ends in September, we 推定する／予想する a slight uptick in インフレーション, but it is ありそうもない to be 重要な. インフレーション is likely to end the year at about 5%," said Shehan Cooray, 長，率いる of 研究 at Acuity Stockbrokers.
An 国際通貨基金 代表 is 現在／一般に in Sri Lanka for the first review of the program, which 要求するs the country to show 進歩 in 再編成 its mammoth 負債 含むing with 二国間の／相互の 貸す人s Japan, 中国 and India.
Encouraged by インフレーション 緩和 faster than 推定する／予想するd, Sri Lanka´s central bank 削減（する） 政策 率s by a 連合させるd 450 basis poi nts in June and July this year, after raising them by a 記録，記録的な／記録する 1,050 basis points between April 2022 and March this year.
The 危機-乱打するd economy is still 推定する／予想するd to 契約 by 2% in 2023 after 縮むing 7.8% last year.
