Canada House (衆議院の)議長 わびるs for 承認 of 退役軍人 who fought for Nazis

WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters) - The (衆議院の)議長 of Canada's House of ありふれたs on Sunday わびるd for 賞賛するing an individual at a 議会の 会合 who served in a Nazi 部隊 during World War II.

Two days earlier, (衆議院の)議長 Anthony Rota had 認めるd 98-year old Yaroslav Hunka as a "Ukranian hero" before the Canadian 議会. Hunka served in World War II as a member of the 14th Waffen Grenadier 分割 of the SS, によれば the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal 中心, a ユダヤ人の human 権利s group that 需要・要求するd an 陳謝.

Rota in a 声明 took 責任/義務 for what was characterized as an oversight, calling the 率先 "完全に my own."
