REAL ISSUES

Sunak's hard-line 内部の 大臣, Suella Braverman, had stuck to the CAT script, referring to a "ハリケーン" that could blow "millions more migrants to these shores".

But 世論調査員s said while that 手段 would 控訴,上告 to the party's base, fighting an 選挙 based on cutting 移民/移住, 緩和 気候 change 的s and 税金 削減(する)s would not be enough to 勝利,勝つ. It could instead signal an ugly (選挙などの)運動をする ahead.

"移民/移住, 税金 削減(する)s, and 逮捕する 無 are all distraction 問題/発行するs," he said. "It may be helpful, but it won't be 十分な" to help them 勝利,勝つ the next 選挙.

Chris Hopkins, political 研究 director at the 投票ing 会社/堅い Savanta, said he could not see how Sunak could 勝利,勝つ.

"It feels a like bit like the captain is going 負かす/撃墜する with the ship even though it was not really his fault the ship 攻撃する,衝突する the iceberg."

The dynamics on 陳列する,発揮する in Manchester were telling.

Several 国会議員s failed to …に出席する, some because they will step 負かす/撃墜する at the next 選挙. 閣僚 大臣s have given speeches to sparsely 居住させるd rooms and some party members have 率直に talked what they may do in 対立.

One of the biggest audiences gathered to hear the thoughts of Liz Truss, Sunak's 前任者 who やめる after 49 days in office after markets 妨げるd at her 負債-fuelled 経済的な 計画(する)s.

Nigel Farage, the プロの/賛成の-Brexit 選挙運動者 who a played a big 役割 in 工学 the country's 出発 from the European Union, was 元気づけるd by party members when he …に出席するd as a TV commentator, even though he had led a 競争相手 party that drained support.

The 歓迎会 given to Truss and Farage showed how Sunak must work to 保持する the support of members open to a 右翼 協議事項 without 疎遠にするing more 中道派(の) 投票者s - a 類似の 仕事 to that 直面するd by the 共和国の/共和党の Party in the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs.

Some 保守的な 政治家,政治屋s believe it can be done, and they argue that 投票s were wrong at the 2015 and 2017 総選挙s, and the 2016 Brexit 投票(する).

"投票s can be wildly wrong," said Steve Tuckwell, who 突然に won a 議会の seat on a 壇・綱領・公約 …に反対するing a low 放出/発行 zone introduced by London's Labou r 市長.
